  • Patent number: 4396280
Abstract: A photographic reproportioning apparatus for transferring an image from a sheet member to an arcuate image on a photosensitive sheet has first and second travel boards movably supported for movement in a linear direction. A light shield having a uniform exposure line and a taper exposure line is located over the travel boards. Light projected through one of the exposure lines exposes a photosensitive sheet on movement of the sheet under the exposure line. A radius attachment having a circular member is drivably associated with the second travel board to move a photosensitive sheet in an arcuate direction. The sheet member carrying the image is attached to the first travel board and moves in a linear direction whereby the linear image is projected by light passing through the tapered exposure line in an arcuate pattern on the photosensitive sheet as the photosensitive sheet and sheet member having the image pass under the tapered exposure line.

  • Patent number: 4238156
Abstract: A photographic reproportioning apparatus for changing one dimension of a two-dimension image projected on a photosensitive member having a main travel board supporting a sub-travel board for movement in a linear path. The boards are shielded from a light source with an opaque mask having an exposure window to expose the photosensitive member as it moves relative to the window. Motion transmitting structure operates to move the sub-travel board at the same speed or less than the speed of the main travel board. The motion transmission structure has an adjustable speed control bar connected to a first drive mounted on the main travel board. The first drive operates a second drive mounted on the main travel board and connected to the sub-travel board. The speed of movement of the first drive depends on the angular position of the speed control bar relative to the longitudinal path of movement of the main travel board and the speed of the main travel board. The first drive also rotates a wheel.

  • Patent number: 4008959
Abstract: An apparatus having a first table and a second table carrying a negative and photosensitive film under a member having an elongated slit. A light source projects light through the slit to expose the film as it moves under the slit. Motion transmitting control structure is operable to move the second table at a speed which is equal to or less than the speed of the first table. The motion transmitting structure has an angularly adjustable arm connected to the first table. A movable member located in a guideway is connected by a cable to the second table and engageable with the arm whereby on movement of the first table the arm moves the movable member which in turn moves the second table. The speed of the second table relative to the speed of the first table depends on the angular position of the arm. The apparatus has an accessory for changing a linear image to an arcuate image.
