  • Publication number: 20100317401
Abstract: The improved method, apparatus and system of the present invention provide a means for users to transfer data from and to a cell phone memory using a plurality of data transfer methods. The apparatus of the present invention comprises a low complexity digital device having two I/O (Input/Output) connectors, one for the user's cell phone and one for connecting to some other device such as a PC. Central to the apparatus of the present invention is an Inter-device Data Transfer Processor (IDTP) which contains the necessary hardware and software to automatically move the data contents of a cell phone memory to one of a plurality of external digital devices.

  • Patent number: 5754602
Abstract: A method and system which provide for repertory dialing of a telephone. The repertory dialing system includes a repertory key, means for detecting when the repertory key is pressed and released, a memory having a first memory location and a second memory location, means for accessing or programming a first repertory number at the first memory location when the repertory key is pressed and released one time and means for accessing or programming a second repertory number at the second memory location when the repertory key is pressed and released twice. The system determines whether the memory locations are being programmed or accessed based on the timing of the presses and releases. The method includes the steps of pressing and releasing the repertory key one time to access or program a first repertory number, and pressing and releasing the repertory key two times to access or program a second repertory number.

  • Patent number: 4882131
Abstract: A tungsten extraction process wherein tungsten values are extracted from an aqueous alkali metal tungstate solution by an organic solution containing an amine extractant wherein the organic solution consists essentially of from about 6% to about 10% by volume of said amine extractant, and the balance of said organic solution being an aromatic solvent consisting essentially of a mixture of alkyl benzenes wherein the alkyl benzenes have molecular weights of 120, 134, or 148 and the total number of carbon atoms in the alkyl chains attached to the benzene ring are either 3, 4, or 5, and thereafter the tungstate values are removed from the organic solution by stripping with aqueous ammonia, is improved by carrying out the stripping step in the aqueous continuous mode, and having as the stripping agent, an aqueous solution of ammonium metatungstate having a tungsten concentration which allows the strip solution to have a specific gravity of no greater than about 1.

  • Patent number: 4769245
Abstract: A method of packaging baked goods for commercial distribution is particularly suitable for brown and serve bakery products, which are more suscepticle to microbiological spoilage than fully baked products, and especially for brown and serve french bread, because the method alleviates the need for the addition of microbiological inhibitors while maintaining high product quality, the characteristics of European-style bread and long shelf life. Such advantages are achieved by packaging the product, while hot enough to inactivate microbial organisms, in a specially adapted container.

  • Patent number: 3947332
Abstract: Heteropoly acids of tungsten and molybdenum, such as tungstosilicic acid and molybdosilicic acid, are produced by first preparing an aqueous solution of an alkali metal tungstate or molybdate and an alkali metal salt of the hetero atom, and then removing the alkali metal cations from the solution by means of a cation exchange membrane under the influence of an applied electrical potential, whereby the reactive tungstate or molybdate and hetero species anions react to form the desired heteropoly acid.

  • Patent number: 3936362
Abstract: Ammonium tungstate, ammonium paratungstate, ammonium metatungstate or hydrated tungsten trioxide is produced by passing tungstate anions through an anion exchange membrane into an aqueous solution containing ammonium cations under the driving force of an electrical potential for a time sufficient to achieve a pH within the range in which the desired tungsten compound will form.
