  • Publication number: 20160297668
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid dispensing system includes a liquid storage tank comprising a pressure chamber with a liquid space and a vapor space. The liquid storage tank further comprises a liquid bypass riser comprising a first end in communication with the vapor space, and a second end exterior to the pressure chamber. The liquid bypass riser forms a first passageway to the vapor space for returning liquid to the pressure chamber. The liquid storage tank further comprises a vapor return riser located within an interior portion of the liquid bypass riser. The vapor return riser comprises a first end located in the vapor space and a second end exterior to the pressure chamber. It forms a second passageway to the vapor space of the pressure chamber. The second passageway prevents liquid in the first passageway from entering the second passageway.

  • Patent number: 9031965
Abstract: Methods are described for selecting and/or deleting files in a set of files, preferably relating to audio and/or video sequences. The present invention is based on the idea of finding substantially duplicate files, selecting the best one and deleting the others, this process being carried out in an automatic or quasi-automatic manner, i.e. with the user having to answer one or more confirmation requests. A certain number of duplicate files can be subjected to P logic blocks Ck (k being an integer, 1?k?P); each logic block makes a selection according to a choice criterion having higher priority than the next block.

  • Patent number: 7971804
Abstract: A channeled shaft check valve assembly includes a conduit with an internal valve seat with a central opening. An actuating member is contained inside the conduit between an outlet fixture and the valve seat. A valve member mounted within the sleeve includes a disc on the opposite side of the valve seat from the outlet end of the conduit and a channeled shaft extending outward from the center of the disc and through the central opening in the internal valve seat. The opposite end of the channeled shaft may also have a disc mounted thereto, allowing for a three position valve. The valve is urged closed under pressure unless an outlet fixture urges the valve open allowing fluid flow along the channeled shaft and through the central opening in the valve seat. In a two disc valve member, the valve may have two closed positions and one open position.

  • Patent number: 7686235
Abstract: A check valve assembly has a valve seat for positioning in a passageway between a water supply and an outlet device such as a sprinkler head or a pipe section. A disc valve is located on the water supply side of the valve seat, and a separate actuator is movably mounted on the opposite side of the seat for movement between an operative position extending through the valve seat to hold the valve in the open position, and an inoperative, retracted position. The disc valve is moved by the actuator into the open position when the sprinkler head is located at the outlet. Release or removal of the actuator as a result of removal of the sprinkler head or other outlet device will allow fluid pressure at the fluid supply end of the passageway to urge the valve into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7293721
Abstract: A check valve assembly has a coupling sleeve with a first end for connection to a pop-up or fixed sprinkler head and a second end for connection to a water supply, the coupling sleeve incorporating a valve seat. A disc valve is retained below the valve seat, and a separate actuator is movably mounted above the seat for movement between an operative position extending through the valve seat to hold the valve in the open position, and an inoperative, retracted position. The disc valve is retained against the valve seat around its peripheral edge, and has a central portion which is moved by the actuator into the open position when the sprinkler head is properly connected to the coupling sleeve. Release or removal of the actuator as a result of removal of the sprinkler head will allow fluid pressure at the second end of the coupling sleeve to urge the valve into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7081204
Abstract: A method for reducing the total concentration of barium in a source of ground water, such that the water can safely be returned to the watershed or used for drinking water, is described. The present method includes extracting the water from a source thereof, and contacting the water with an effective amount of sulfuric acid. The method has the additional benefits that it simultaneously reduces the pH of the water as well as reducing the concentration of bicarbonate ions. An example of water often having total barium concentrations too high for release into the watershed, includes water extracted during coal-bed methane production.

  • Patent number: 6460786
Abstract: Indicia are formed on the outside surface of drip irrigation tape by deforming the strip of flexible material when it is in a semi-molten state and cooling the strip while it is deformed. The indicia may include alphanumeric characters, logos or symbols that convey information. Indicia forming features in the surface of a shaping drum mold the strip of semi-molten material as the semi-molten material cures to form a flexible strip. The flexible strip is folded and sealed to form the drip irrigation tape.

  • Patent number: 5732887
Abstract: A drip irrigation hose is formed from an elongated flat strip of flexible material. One side edge portion of the strip is deformed to form a series of indented channel formations deformed out of the plane of the strip, and the strip is then folded with the deformed side edge portion outermost and the channel formations facing inwardly and overlapping the underlying opposite side edge portion of the strip. The opposite side edge portions are sealed together to form a main conduit within the strip and a series of secondary conduits along the channel formations. Each channel formation has a series of spaced inlet channels extending transversely across the innermost side edge of the strip and into the secondary conduit.
