  • Patent number: 10197047
Abstract: A hydraulic proportioning system has a flow divider providing hydraulic fluid to drive two hydraulic pumps. The flow divider provides set amounts of hydraulic oil to each of two pumps, and the pumps each provide one material of the plural component material downstream to a mixing manifold. The two materials are mixed at the mixing manifold before application. The flow divider drives each pump at a set speed depending on the volume of hydraulic oil provided to each pump. The flow divider thus determines the ratio of the first material to the second material provided to the mixing manifold by the pumps.

  • Patent number: 8992120
Abstract: A mobile thermoplastic applicator comprises a kettle, a main gas burner, a heat exchanger plenum, and a screed die box. The kettle has walls which define an interior space for melting thermoplastic. The main gas burner is situated beneath the kettle, and is configured to heat the kettle. The heat exchanger plenum is situated inside the thermoplastic kettle and is configured to subdivide the interior space and circulate heated air from the main gas burner. • Patent number: 8393824
Abstract: An adjustable spacer plate 12 mounts over the US standard screed box 10 thermoplastic opening 14 of 0.125? and creates a 0.090? opening.[This eliminates the need for the user to buy another costly screed box.] For screeding over stencils, the spacer 12 can be flipped to create a zero clearance opening. This allows the thermoplastic to come out only when an opening in the stencil pattern is present. Also, as the die 14 wears down, the spacer can be removed which lets the standard size opening be used as a substitute for the 0.090? opening.

  • Publication number: 20120325612
Abstract: The striper has a solid direct drive axle 12 powered either by chain, belt, gears, hydraulics, etc. 14. Two wheels 16 are attached to a solid axle 12 by means of adjustable friction devices 18 that transfer torque—stacked hardened thrust washers 20 with spring washers 22 to maintain a constant drive torque with ability to have limited slip at a specific load range. The spring washers 22 allow consistent load over long periods of wear. When each tire 24 is properly loaded “equally” the striper 26 will have natural ability to travel in a straight forward motion over bumpy surfaces specifically grass (turf), not common with standard type differentials that power only the least resistant wheel 16. When cornering the inside wheel 16 will slip as necessary based on the turning radius. When the wheels 16 are overloaded, wheels will slip, preventing damage to the drive mechanism (transmission) 28.

  • Publication number: 20120299364
Abstract: A scarifier is provided with a floating axle 16 which allows the head 22 of the unit to follow the contour of the to-be-ground surface. The floating axle 16 will allow the two large outboard wheels 46 to guide the unit, but still maintain pressure on the smaller guide wheels 50. The floating axle 16 can also be locked to compensate for extremely uneven conditions.
