  • Patent number: 9130310
Abstract: An electrical connector for testing of missile launch rail is provided. The electrical contacts of the connector move from a rear disengaged position to forward engaged positions via the energy of a compressed spring. The connector base has rail mounts for securing to a missile launch rail. A housing attaches to the base and houses a plunger, an insulator, electrical contacts, and a tube, which move forward and aft as a unit. A knob on a rear tube end enables user to limit the initial impact of the electrical contacts on contact pins or striker points of missile launch rail. The connector can provide electrical connection with launch rail pins as rail pins recede into the missile launch rail. Electrical contact position is governed, in part, by locating pins which ride in a track cut into an outer surface of the tube and move with rotation of an indexing ring.

  • Patent number: 8968023
Abstract: The wiring harness provided herein affords adjustability of the relative orientation between the connecting cable and its interface connector in real time, during field applications. The harness rotates to accommodate varying access angles to the desired test point connector. A cable conduit of the harness can be adjusted vertically relative to the axis of its interface connector, as well. Cable wire integrity is maintained during manipulations of the cable conduit relative to the harness electrical connector and stress on the wires is minimized. The harness can be sealed from moisture and environmental factors. The harness can provide shielding from electromagnetic interference for the cabling housed therein. The present harness is well suited for service in high heat environments in, for example, testing of aircraft systems. A cylinder receives the cabling conduit and swivels within a slotted backshell. Slot configuration can limit the translation of the cable conduit.

  • Patent number: 6073660
Abstract: The reed employs two spaced apart cylinders with slots in their outer surfaces. The slots extend around the axis of each cylinder a given distance. The slots of each cylinder flare out from each other from one edge to an opposite edge. Dents are supported for movement between the two cylinders and have guides located in the slots of each cylinder. The two cylinders can be rotated together in one direction or in an opposite direction for causing the slots to move the guides and hence the dents apart or together to obtain changes in the width of the fabric along the warp direction. This change in width will cause the warp density to vary along the length of the fabric while maintaining continuous warp yarn. This feature also allows warp strands of different cross-section to be woven.

  • Patent number: 5333684
Abstract: A tool (400) is disclosed for use in recovering gas from a gas well without the production of water as well. The tool (400) uses a member, such as plurality of vertically stacked balls (430) which are lighter than water to close a channel 422 when the water level (432) exceeds a certain level. As gas accumulates about the balls, the water level 432 will be moved downwardly, eventually causing the balls to move out of engagement with the seal surface (424), opening the channel (422) for passage of the gas upwardly for recovery. As the water level rises, the balls will again seal against the seal surface (424).
