  • Patent number: 11958499
Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods to classify a road based on a level of support offered by the road for autonomous driving operations. An example method may involve a computer receiving sensor data from a vehicle, the sensor data containing information about a current functional condition of a road. The computer may predict a future functional condition of the road by using a deterioration model to evaluate the sensor data. The computer may then determine a level of support offered by the road for autonomous driving operations based on the future functional condition of the road, and assign a classification to the road based on the level of support offered by the road for autonomous driving operations. The level of support offered by the road for autonomous driving operations may also be based on items such as road markings, traffic signs, traffic signals, and/or infrastructure elements.

  • Patent number: 11948917
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a semiconductor package comprising multiple dies encapsulated in multiple molding compounds. In one example, a semiconductor package comprises: a first die or die stack on a substrate; a first molding compound encapsulating the first die or die stack on the substrate; a second die or die stack on the first molding compound; and a second molding compound encapsulating the second die or die stack and at least one portion of the first molding compound. In this example, the first die or die stack is electrically coupled to the substrate using a first wire bond and the second die or die stack is electrically coupled to the substrate using a second wire bond. Additionally, the first molding compound encapsulates the first wire bond and the second molding compound encapsulates the second wire bond. Furthermore, a footprint of the second die overlaps a footprint of the first die.

  • Patent number: 11915172
Abstract: Robot-assisted package delivery with integrated curbside parking monitoring and curb operations optimization is disclosed herein. An example method includes dispatching a delivery vehicle and delivery robot to a delivery location, the delivery location including a parking location for the delivery vehicle that allows for deployment of the delivery robot on a delivery mission, determining occupancy of the parking location, the delivery vehicle parking at the parking location when the parking location is unoccupied, the delivery robot being deployed upon parking of the delivery vehicle, and instructing the delivery vehicle to remain parked during the delivery mission or to leave the parking location and return at later point in time based on an estimated time of arrival of the delivery robot after the delivery mission.

  • Publication number: 20090150004
Abstract: A network (20) employs a wireless network topology (30), a wireless network manager (40). Network (20) further employs a wireless device (70) and wireless device manager (80) pairing and/or a wireless system (90) and a wireless system manager (100) pairing. Managers (40, 80) cooperatively control an operating profile and monitor an operational status of the device (70). Managers (40, 100) cooperatively control an operating profile and monitor an operational status of system (90). Manager (40) can be installed on a computer (150, 170) and wirelessly communicate within network (20) via a wireless control device (160, 180) employing a port connector (161, 181) that can be plugged into a port (151, 171) of the computer (150, 170). Device (70) or system (90) can implement a digital ballast (120) that determines an average power consumption of the digital ballast (120) drawn by a power interface (121) of digital ballast (120).

  • Patent number: 7417727
Abstract: A method for remotely detecting whether a subject is alive, comprising the steps of determining a calibration spectral signature for light reflectance from living skin, normalizing the calibration spectral signature values to the calibration reflectance value at a reference wavelength, storing the normalized calibration spectral signature, determining a subject spectral signature of the light reflectance of a region of skin of the subject whose liveness is to be determined, normalizing the subject spectral signature values to the subject reflectance value at the reference wavelength, comparing the normalized subject spectral signature with the normalized calibration spectral signature for at least one wavelength, generating a subject liveness signal based on the comparison of the normalized subject spectral signature with the normalized calibration spectral signature, and emitting the subject liveness signal.
