Abstract: The present invention relates to a control arrangement 10. The control arrangement 10 comprises computer apparatus 12, 18 storing a control function which controls computer software in dependence on control data received by the control function from a manually or voice operated user interface. The control arrangement also comprises a camera 14 providing image data to the computer apparatus 12, 18 in dependence on at least one image acquired by the camera. The computer apparatus 12, 18 recognises a facial expression in image data received from the camera 14 when the camera acquires an image of a face. The computer apparatus 12, 18 also operates the control function in dependence on the recognised facial expression, whereby the computer software is controlled by the facial expression instead of by operation of the manually or voice operated user interface.
