Abstract: A method and system for controlling a transfer of liquid from or to a transport vehicle uses a memory module on the vehicle to keep track of vehicle parameters. When a transfer request, having a plurality of transfer parameters, is received, transport vehicle parameters representative of a current condition of the transport vehicle are retrieved. The transfer parameters are compared to the transport vehicle parameters. The transfer proceeds as a result of determining that each comparison of a transfer parameter to a transport vehicle parameter is correct.

Abstract: Herein is disclosed a dehumidifier for dehumidifying ambient air in an airstream from an inlet to an exhaust from an outlet in a housing. The dehumidifier comprises an evaporator having an evaporator downstream face and an evaporator upstream face; and downstream 5 from the evaporator a condenser having a condenser downstream face and a condenser upstream face. The dehumidifier further has a thermosiphon arrangement configured to be arranged with a thermosiphon evaporator part upstream from the evaporator and a thermosiphon condenser part upstream from the condenser and downstream from the evaporator. The thermosiphon arrangement comprises a thermosiphon block configured for a refrigerant to communicate between a first header and a second header interconnected with a fluid communicator arrangement being multiple tubes, wherein the thermosiphon block is sealed and contains the refrigerant.

The consolidated reporting criteria can be applied to transactions to identify amalgamable transactions, which can be consolidated into a consolidated transaction. The balance management criteria can include scheduling criteria and payment criteria and can be applied to open account balances to facilitate payment of open account balances.

Abstract: A payment card has a generally planar body having a first side and a second side, and a plurality of acceptance attributes on the second side. The first side is formed without any acceptance attributes thereon. The first side may include artwork of an issuer of the payment card. The acceptance attributes may include, for example, a signature panel, a cardholder name, a card expiration date, at least one of a bar code and a magnetic stripe, and a card security code. A method of using such a card includes physically presenting the card to a merchant, and viewing, by the merchant, of at least needed ones of the acceptance attributes without the merchant being required to turn the card over.

Abstract: A method to generate siRNAs in vivo is described, as are constructs and compositions useful in the method. The method does not depend on the use of DNA or synthetic constructs that contain inverted duplications or dual promoters so as to form perfect or largely double-stranded RNA. Rather, the method depends on constructs that yield single-stranded RNA transcripts, and exploits endogenous or in vivo-produced miRNAs or siRNAs to initiate production of siRNAs. The miRNAs or siRNAs guide cleavage of the transcript and set the register for production of siRNAs (usually 21 nucleotides in length) encoded adjacent to the initiation cleavage site within the construct. The method results in specific formation of siRNAs of predictable size and register (phase) relative to the initiation cleavage site. The method can be used to produce specific siRNAs in vivo for inactivation or suppression of one or more target genes or other entities, such as pathogens.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for enhancing the expression of genes in plants by supplying a virally encoded booster sequence comprising the 5' proximal region of the potyvirus genome to the plant. The booster sequence enhances the expression of foreign genes or endogenous plant genes in plants by employing any known methodology of expressing introduced genes in plants. The booster sequence may be used to enhance expression of any gene, including foreign genes or endogenous plant genes, introduced by means of stable transformation into the genome of the plant or introduced by expression from a plant viral expression vector.
