  • Patent number: 10619428
Abstract: A connection assembly for automated lifting and positioning of a chiksan or other fluid conduit in proximity to a fluid inlet of a device such as, for example, a cement or hydraulic fracturing head. Once a chiksan or other flow line is positioned in a desired location, a secure connection is made between the outlet of the chiksan or other fluid conduit and the fluid inlet including, without limitation, when the device is positioned at an elevated location above a rig floor.

  • Patent number: 9366853
Abstract: An opto-mechanical deployable telescope includes a hub, at least one deployable multiple petal primary mirror mounted to the hub, a deployment assembly, a secondary optic assembly, and a deployment engine assembly. The deployment assembly is operable to move the at least one primary mirror between a stowed position and a deployed position. The deployment engine assembly is operable to power the deployment assembly using stored mechanical energy. The deployment assembly includes a kinematic or semi-kinematic interface between the hub and the at least one primary mirror to hold petals of the at least one primary mirror in alignment relative to each other in the deployed position. The secondary optic assembly comprising a secondary optical member and is operable to axially position the secondary optical member relative to the primary mirror.

  • Patent number: 5740633
Abstract: An interlocking gutter retaining system for mounting a rain gutter under the eaves of a pitched roof includes a specially designed retainer member that is adapted to be affixed to the fascia board directly under the eaves. The retainer member is provided with engaging means, including a receiving channel, into which the rear wall of a standard rain gutter is inserted. The receiving channel is adapted so as to securely engage the gutter such that it can be pulled out only with significant force and/or the use a tool specially designed for the purpose. To maximize the engagement of the gutter within the securing channel, the rear wall of the gutter is crimped along its lateral edge.

  • Patent number: 5675955
Abstract: A system for covering an exterior surface of a building comprising a plurality of members for application to the building surface in a series progressing from one end of the surface to the other end in a first lengthwise direction. The system comprises at least two such members adapted to overlap in use, one of the members having, in the overlapping zone thereof, a first type connector comprising a lock formation defining a recess opening generally in the first direction. The other member has, in its overlapping zone, a second type connector comprising a hook formation having a free end projecting generally in the second lengthwise direction and into the recess in use.
