Patent number: 12040366Abstract: A method for forming a semiconductor structure. Two isolation structures are formed in a semiconductor. A cavity is etched in the semiconductor between the two isolation structures in the semiconductor. Dopants are implanted into a bottom side of the cavity to form a doped region in the semiconductor below the cavity between the two isolation structures. A contact is formed in the cavity. The contact is on the doped region and in direct contact with the doped region.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2021Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Kangmu Min Lee, Maxwell Daehan Choi, Jeffrey Alden Wright, Wonill Ha, Clayton Jackson, Michael Pemberton Jura, Adele Schmitz, James Chappell

Patent number: 11036401Abstract: User access to a data storage system including one or more nodes providing a plurality of data storage resources is controlled, the plurality of data storage resources storing one or more user-accessible primary data structures and one or more user-accessible secondary data structures, each secondary data structures being stored on the basis of a respective associated primary data structure, wherein the data storage system stores, for each secondary data structure, data structure metadata which is indicative of a parent data storage resource and an owner data storage resource of the respective secondary data structure. Upon receiving a user request to access a certain secondary data structure of the one or more secondary data structures stored on a respective parent data storage resource, based on data structure metadata stored for the certain secondary data structure, the respective owner data storage resource of the certain secondary data structure is determined.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2017Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: HITACHI VANTARA LLCInventors: Paul Clive Caswell, Simon James Chappell, Fabrice Claude Oliver Helliker

Publication number: 20170183664Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions for transcriptional regulation of a target gene, and methods of using the compositions. The compositions utilize a novel antisense RNA design that activates transcription of a target gene and involve a sense genetic construct that represses transcription of the target gene, and an antisense construct selected from an antisense activating RNA, or an antisense genetic construct encoding an antisense activating RNA, that binds to the sense genetic construct RNA to relieve repression of the target gene, thus activating expression of the gene.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2015Publication date: June 29, 2017Inventors: Julius B. LUCKS, James CHAPPELL, Melissa TAKAHASHI

Publication number: 20070098456Abstract: A development subsystem is used to develop developer having semiconductive carrier particles and toner particles. The development subsystem includes a developer housing, for retaining a quantity of developer having semiconductive carrier particles and toner particles, a first magnetic roll having a stationary core with at least one magnet and a sleeve that rotates about the stationary core of the first magnetic roll, a second magnetic roll having a stationary core with at least one magnet and a sleeve that rotates about the stationary core of the second magnetic roll, and a motor coupled to the first and the second magnetic rolls to drive the rotating sleeves of the first and the second magnetic rolls in a direction that is against the direction of a photoreceptor that rotates in proximity to the first and the second magnetic rolls. The first and the second magnetic rolls carry semiconductive carrier particles and toner particles through a development zone formed by the first and the second magnetic rolls.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2005Publication date: May 3, 2007Inventors: Michael Thompson, James Chappell, Steven Hart, Patrick Howe, Ajay Kumar, Steven LeRoy, Paul Morehouse, Palghat Ramesh, Fei Xiao

Patent number: 4352978Abstract: A calculating device comprising a rockable cradle having a number of parallel grooves formed in its upper surface, each of which supports a beam provided on at least one of its faces with a calculating scale so that the beam has sliding movement within the groove, along its longitudinal axis. A cursor line which lies normal to the longitudinal axis of the sliding beams is marked on the upper face of the rockable cradle. In typical use a slidable beam having a question scale marked on one of its faces is moved so that a question integer on the question scale registers with the cursor line thereby providing a rotating torque about the axis of rotation of the rockable cradle. A further slidable beam having an answer scale marked on one of its faces is moved so as to provide a rotating torque in antiphase direction to that provided by the question scale beam, the antiphase torque being adjusted to such a magnitude that the cradle is balanced and the beams are horizontal.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1981Date of Patent: October 5, 1982Inventor: James Chappell
