  • Patent number: 11947555
Abstract: Intelligent query routing may be performed across shards of a scalable database table. A router of a database system may receive an access request directed to one or more database tables. The router may evaluate the access request with respect to metadata obtained for the database tables to determine an assignment distribution of computing resources of the database system to data that can satisfy the access request. The router can select planning locations to perform the access request based on the assignment distribution of the computing resources. The router can cause the access request to be performed according to planning at the selected planning locations.

  • Patent number: 10895727
Abstract: A microscope has a fiducial mask and fiducial lens generating a collimated mask image onto a beam splitter which directs the optical image to an objective lens where it is directed to an optical discontinuity formed by the change of index of refraction of the inner surface of a fluidic channel. Reflected optical energy is directed through the objective lens, the beam splitter, and a detector lens to a detector. A focused image forms when an inner surface of the fluidic channel is a focal distance from the objective lens, providing for imaging of fluorescent labels at the inner surface of the fluidic channel.

  • Publication number: 20200070167
Abstract: A system for isolating and enumerating cells or particles from a fluid are disclosed. The system includes a microfluidic chip and an impedance chip fluidly connected to the microfluidic chip. The microfluidic chip includes a substrate and a microfluidic channel disposed in the substrate between an inlet and an outlet. The microfluidic channel generates a vortex within the at least one expansion region in response to fluid flowing through the microfluidic channel.

  • Publication number: 20190168221
Abstract: Microfluidic chips and cartridges and systems that include such chips are disclosed. In some embodiments, the chips include a microfluidic channel disposed in a substrate with the channel comprising at least one expansion region. The channel is configured to generate a vortex within the at least one expansion region in response to fluid through the microfluidic channel to trap cells or particles. The substrate in which the channel is formed may be relatively rigid to resist deformation.
