Publication number: 20240108844Abstract: A humidification system can include a heater base, a humidification chamber, and a breathing circuit. A cartridge can be removably coupled to the heater base. The cartridge can include various sensors, probes, sensor wire connectors, heater wire connectors, and/or other features. The cartridge can include features configured to mate with corresponding features on the humidification chamber and the heater base. The cartridge includes a memory, such as an EEPROM, or other suitable storage device. When the cartridge is installed on the heater base, the memory is electrically connected to a processor and/or memory of the heater base. Various models of cartridges can be produced for use with different humidification chambers, breathing circuits, and/or therapies. A connector can be configured to couple an inspiratory conduit to an outlet port of the humidification chamber. The connector can provide a pneumatic connection to the outlet port and an electrical connection to the cartridge.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Hamish Adrian OSBORNE, Gavin Walsh Millar, Stephen David Evans, Bruce Gordon Holyoake, James William Stanton, David Leon McCauley, Gareth Thomas McDermott, Nicholas James Michael McKenna, Myfanwy Jane Antica Norton, Adrian John Elsworth, Michael John Andresen, Jonathan Andrew George Lambert, Sandeep Singh Gurm, Tessa Hazel Paris, Joseph Nathaniel Griffiths, Ping Si, Christopher Gareth Sims, Elmo Benson Stoks, Dexter Chi Lun Cheung, Peter Alan Seekup, Po-Yen Liu, Richard Edward Lang, Paul James Tonkin, Ian Lee Wai Kwan

Publication number: 20240081134Abstract: A hybrid display may include different display portions with different resolutions. The high resolution display portion may be positioned in a main viewing area for the viewer whereas the low resolution display portion may be positioned in a peripheral viewing area. The high resolution display portion may have a silicon backplane. The low resolution display portion may have a different type of backplane such as a thin-film transistor backplane. The different display portions may optionally share a common organic light-emitting diode layer such that light is emitted from the same plane across both display portions. The high resolution display portion may emit light through a transparent window in the low resolution display portion. A high resolution display may also be formed by separately forming a frontplane and a backplane. Conductive attachment structures such as indium bumps may be used to mechanically and electrically connect the backplane to the frontplane.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: James E Pedder, Patrick B Bennett, Michael Slootsky, Graham B Myhre, Andrew Lin, Cheuk Chi Lo, Guanjun Tan

Publication number: 20240071408Abstract: A system may include a first acoustic event detection (AED) component configured to detect a predetermined set of acoustic events, and include a second AED component configured to detect custom acoustic events that a user configures a device to detect. The first and second AED components are configured to perform task-specific processing, and may receive as input the same acoustic feature data corresponding to audio data that potentially represents occurrence of one or more events. Based on processing by the first and second AED components, a device may output data indicating that one or more acoustic events occurred, where the acoustic events may be a predetermined acoustic event and/or a custom acoustic event.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Qingming Tang, Chieh-Chi Kao, Qin Zhang, Ming Sun, Chao Wang, Sumit Garg, Rong Chen, James Garnet Droppo, Chia-Jung Chang

Patent number: 11510181Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a punctured preamble enabling wireless devices to efficiently use a channel (e.g., an 80 or 160 MHz channel) where a primary service is operating. A Wideband Channel Access Mechanism for 20 MHz/80 MHz operating STAs is provided so that a 20 MHz/80 MHz operating STA can dynamically move to a secondary channel to improve wireless performance of the STA. An AP coordinates the operating channel switch of the 20 MHz/80 MHz operating STA. An EHT cooperative multi-band operation can be applied to the preamble punctured PPDU for simultaneous multi-band operation.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2020Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: MEDIATEK SINGAPORE PTE. Patent number: 11190577Abstract: Techniques for processing application data are described. The techniques include transmitting packets of application data to a data management server. The data management server maintains rules that dictate where the packets go as well as what actions are taken in response to the packets. Based on the rules, the data management server transmits the packets to destinations that may perform various actions. The actions performed by destinations may include logging data received from the applications, or performing other actions such as notifying an administrator or other entity of a particular event, or the like. The described architecture decouples functions such as logging, notification, and the like from the applications for which they are performed, which provides benefits such as improved scalability, as well as removing the need for application developers to build such functionality directly into the applications.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2015Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: VMware, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Gilliard, James Chi-Shun Tsiao, Konstantin Anatolyevich Bay, Yang Li, Aram Compeau, Xiangfang Li

Patent number: 8279987Abstract: A filter settings generation operation includes sampling a communication channel to produce a sampled signal. The sampled signal is spectrally characterized across a frequency band of interest to produce a spectral characterization of the sampled signal. This spectral characterization may not include a signal of interest. The spectral characterization is then modified to produce a modified spectral characterization. Filter settings are then generated based upon the modified spectral characterization. Finally, the communication channel is filtered using the filter settings when the signal of interest is present on the communication channel. In modifying the spectral characterization, pluralities of spectral characteristics of the spectral characterization are independently modified to produce the modified spectral characterization. Modifications to the spectral characterization may be performed in the frequency domain and/or the time domain.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2011Date of Patent: October 2, 2012Assignee: Broadcom CorporationInventors: Thomas J.
