    Abstract: Improvements in connector headers of implantable medical devices (IMDS) for making electrical and mechanical connections with a connector element of a proximal connector assembly of an electrical medical lead and components thereof are disclosed. A connector block disposed within a header body of the connector header has a threaded bore aligned with a header grommet aperture and a connector block bore aligned with a header connector bore. A penetrable grommet is disposed within the header grommet aperture, and a setscrew is threaded into the threaded bore having a setscrew socket disposed to be engaged by the tool inserted through the penetrable grommet within the header grommet aperture to enable rotation of the setscrew within the threaded bore to tighten the setscrew against or to loosen the setscrew from a lead connector element received in the header connector bore.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method provide simultaneous local and global addressing capabilities in a computer system. A global address space is defined that may be accessed by all processes. In addition, each process has a local address space that is local (and therefore available) only to that process. An address space processor is implemented in software to perform system functions that distinguish between local addresses and global addresses. In the preferred embodiments, the local address space has a size that is a multiple of the size of a segment of global address space. When the hardware indicates a page fault, the address space processor determines whether the address being translated is a local address or a global address. If the address is a local address, the address space processor uses a local directory to process the page fault. If the address is a global address, the address space processor uses a global directory to process the page fault.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus for managing data on DASD units to improve system performance comprises monitoring portions of data on a plurality of DASD units to determine the times the data is accessed within a given time period, and characterizing accessed data portions of a DASD unit as HOT and COLD data. The DASD units are monitored to determine the number of times each unit is accessed within a time period to develop utilization factors reflective of the number of times the DASD unit is accessed during the time period. HOT and COLD data is moved between DASD units based on the utilization factors of the DASD units.

    Abstract: A method of providing a nuclear steam supply system that is constructed to include a barge or flotation base as an integrated portion thereof. The system is tested for operability and safety at the factory and then towed along navigable coastal or inland waterways, or overseas to foreign locations, to a prepared foundation site at its point of use. The overall unit is so constructed and arranged as to permit the removal of top and side portions to permit passage under low bridges and through narrow locks without requiring disassembly of safety class piping and wiring. The method further provides for a complete nuclear power plant constructed on multiple barges at a separate factory site in parallel with plant site preparation, i.e., in estuaries or caves.
