  • Publication number: 20140097019
Abstract: A modular enclosure assembly comprising: an upper and lower enclosure subassemblies, interconnected by a partial interpenetration, and a pair of hinged panel subassemblies for opening/closing the inner space of the enclosure subassemblies. Each of the enclosure subassemblies incorporates a back base plate having a first interpenetrating zone, located at an end of a lower left side of the back base plate, and a second interpenetrating zone, located at an end of a lower right side of the back base plate and juxtaposed with the first interpenetrating zone. The second interpenetrating zone incorporates a slat partially superposed on a rear surface of the back base plate where and with which this second interpenetrating zone forms a monoblock structure and from which the slat extends downwardly, beyond the rear surface of the back base plate.

  • Patent number: 8046955
Abstract: A water deviation unit for external wall features comprises a frame shaped plate adaptable to be attached to a sheathing of a composite external wall and a box like subassembly projecting outwardly from and connecting to the frame shaped plate and provided centrally with a relatively large aperture. The box like subassembly includes: 1) a pair of spaced apart walls extending outwardly and perpendicularly in vertical planes from adjacent sides of said relatively large aperture and continuing above the latter; 2) upper and lower means for inclining used to deflect outwardly the water and connected laterally respectively at a top and a bottom of the pair of spaced apart walls; and 3) means for controlling an entrance and a withdrawal from an interior of the composite external, disposed between and joining the spaced apart walls.

  • Publication number: 20090183453
Abstract: An inter-panel ventilation apparatus is installed in a building wall between rows of siding, for providing air flow to and from an interstitial space between exterior and interior building wall layers. The inter-panel ventilation apparatus has a hood for carrying away water to an exterior of the building wall, and upper and lower apertured venting components respectively engaged with adjacent upper and lower siding panels. A plurality of inter-panel ventilation apparatus may be connected together with couplers to form a ventilation trim extending along a length of the building wall.

  • Publication number: 20090056241
Abstract: Moisture management systems and methods are provided for managing moisture in a vicinity of an opening in a building wall. Such systems comprise a sill pan mountable in the building wall atop a horizontally-extending lower frame member of the opening. The sill pan may include: a base section having an upper surface which slopes downwardly and outwardly from a location interior to a lower flange portion of a window frame to an interstitial space between a sheathing layer of the building wall and an external building wall layer for directing moisture received thereon toward the interstitial space; and a plurality of transversely spaced-apart window-support members having upper surfaces located above the upper surface of the base section and oriented substantially horizontally for receiving a lower portion of the window frame. Such systems also comprise a lower vent mountable in the building wall outwardly of the sill pan.
