Abstract: A new version of the game of blackjack, in which players may discard one of the two cards that they are initially dealt, if they pay a discard fee before any cards are dealt. The player who discards then draws another card to replace the card that has been discarded. The discard fee is preferably a percentage of the amount that the player has bet. The discard option is preferably limited to players who do not have an ace in their initial hand, and who have an initial hand with a point value of sixteen or less. If the dealer has a blackjack, a player who has an ace or card with a value of ten in his or her initial hand, and has paid the discard fee, may discard the other card and draw a replacement card. If the player then has a blackjack, they win the hand.

Abstract: A low ball game and a method of dealing cards in the game. A standard deck of 52 playing cards plus one joker is used. Aces count as one. The players bet that the value of the highest card in their hand will not exceed a number from 1 through 9. However, a bet on a number must include all the higher numbers, and a minimum bet includes the numbers 5 through 9. The lower the number bet, the higher the pay-off if the player wins. A first embodiment uses actual physical cards that are dealt onto a table. Each player is given a square that is divided into nine smaller squares, numbered 1 through 9, with the single payout shown above the number and the cumulative payout shown below the number. A second embodiment for an electronic gaming machine displays similar rectangles and the cards on a video screen.

Each player places six basic bets, one for each of six numbered betting circles numbered one through six. Each circle creates a primary pool for six different classes of poker hands: any low pair of eights or less, any high pair of nines or less, any three of a kind or straight, any flush or full house, any four of a kind or straight flush, and jack high straight flush or higher Each of the six primary pools of one through six is designated for each of the six classes of poker hands. The first player to make a hand corresponding to a given circle will be awarded the primary pool in that circle. Each primary pool that is unclaimed will be placed in a reserve pool identifiable with the circle from which it comes. The reserve pools will carry over to succeeding hands until won.

Abstract: Lucky Pick Blackjack uses a new method of delivering all cards to the various players, both for starting hands and subsequent draws. Using a unique set of domino cards, the deal is designed to set up all hands in a manner where the play of all players can in no way affect other player hands or the dealer's hand. This, in turn, eliminates most player hostility, for it neutralizes any effect any player may have on the end result of winning or losing for all players involved.
