  • Publication number: 20070191915
Abstract: Improved assemblies, systems, and methods provide safeguarding against tissue injury during surgical procedures and/or identify nerve damage occurring prior to surgery and/or verify range of motion or attributes of muscle contraction during reconstructive surgery. A stimulation control device may incorporate a range of low and high intensity stimulation to provide a stimulation and evaluation of both nerves and muscles. A stimulation control device is removably coupled to a surgical device or is imbedded within the medical device to provide a stimulation and treatment medical device. A disposable hand held stimulation system includes an operative element extending from the housing, the housing includes an operative element adjustment portion and a visual indication to provide feedback or status to the user.

  • Publication number: 20070088406
Abstract: Systems and methods for programming and logging medical device and patient data are provided. The systems include a handheld device, which is capable of communicating with a medical device, and a base station, which provides connectivity for the handheld device to accomplish various functions such as recharging, programming, data back-up and data entry. The methods comprise the steps of detecting a medical device, obtaining and recording information from the medical device. Additionally, medical device parameters may be modified and the recorded information may be archived for future reference.

  • Publication number: 20060179976
Abstract: A method of promoting bud break uniformity and shoot vigor in deciduous trees and vines is shown. The method comprising applying an effective amount of a composition comprising nitrogen including ammoniacal nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen, soluble potash, calcium, boron, copper and trace elements including iron, manganese and zinc and a combination thereof. A composition for application to deciduous trees and vines is also shown. The composition comprises an enhancing effective amount of nitrogen including ammoniacal nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen, soluble potash, calcium, boron, copper and trace elements including iron, manganese and zinc and a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060069541
Abstract: A method and apparatus that includes determining differences between a process model and an actual process are used as a diagnostic system for the actual process. The process model includes elements from a design process to provide a “known good” condition for evaluating the differences. Initial input states to the process model are the initial input states to the actual process. Output information correlated to states in the actual process is provided by controls, such as programmable logic controllers, that manage the actual process.

  • Publication number: 20060030919
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for recording, and/or stimulation, and/or blocking of a nerve make use of a molded cuff electrode. An electrically conductive surface is coupled to an inside surface of the cuff's elastic body. The electrically conductive surface and the body assume a coiled configuration in its natural state. An applicator tool having a body and a slider are used to implant the cuff electrode about a nerve.

  • Patent number: 4499680
Abstract: A plastic identification band for milking cows is formed as a strap of a width to receive identifying indicia and a length for attachment to and about the leg of a cow. A rectangular buckle at one end has a bottom wall coplanar with the strap and an upper wall defining an opening to receive the outer end of the strap. The bottom wall of the buckle includes a plurality of upwardly facing teeth extending longitudinally of the buckle. The strap has a plurality of similar teeth on the underside thereof. The upper buckle wall is a flexible wall which is deflected slightly inwardly toward the bottom wall and has a narrow, longitudinally extending ridge projecting inwardly from the upper buckle wall within the buckle toward said buckle teeth to hold the strap teeth firmly engaged with the bottom wall buckle teeth upon insertion of the strap into the buckle.
