  • Patent number: 11932292
Abstract: A system is provided that may include a first communication controller that may communicate with a vehicle system formed from two or more vehicles. The first communication controller may operate in different modes, including a first mode to control movement of the vehicle system without repeating any control signals communicated between the vehicles, and in a second mode to monitor different frequencies for receipt of the control signals, receive and repeat a first control signal of the control signals at a first frequency, and receive and repeats a second control signal of the control signals at a second frequency. The first communication controller may also operate in a third mode in which the first communication controller may monitor the first frequency but not the second frequency for the first control signal, receives the first control signal at the first frequency, and repeats the first control signal at the first frequency.

  • Publication number: 20240066239
Abstract: An apparatus for suspending air bubbles in a fluid path of a fluid injector system includes an internal chamber having a curved interior wall defined within the housing, an inlet fluid pathway in fluid communication with the internal chamber, and an outlet fluid pathway in fluid communication with the internal chamber. The inlet fluid pathway extending into the chamber at a tangent to the curved interior wall, and the outlet fluid pathway spaced from the inlet fluid pathway such that fluid flowing into the internal chamber via the inlet fluid pathway is directed away from the outlet fluid pathway. The internal chamber is configured to create an internal fluid vortex in an injection fluid entering the internal chamber from the inlet fluid pathway, and wherein the internal fluid vortex at least temporarily suspends one or more air bubbles in the fluid in the internal vortex and delays the passage of the one or more air bubbles to the outlet fluid pathway.

  • Patent number: 11916995
Abstract: Systems and methods for locating microserver nodes in proximity to edge devices using georouting. Microservers automatically form a global peer-to-peer network to serve edge functions and content to edge devices. Edge devices use HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to execute serverless functions or otherwise retrieve data from edge nodes and/or microservers located in proximity to the HTTP client. The cloud platform locates the nearest edge node and/or microserver. Edge devices georoute HTTP requests to the nearest edge node and/or microserver. Serverless functions are implemented in secure, isolated environments using a blockchain.

  • Patent number: 11891189
Abstract: A seal-cover assembly for a structure including a first side and a second side opposing the first side. The seal-cover assembly includes a cap defining a recess, and an insert fixed to the cap within the recess to form a cover unit. The cover unit is configured to be secured to the first side of the structure. The seal-cover assembly includes a fastener configured to be disposed through the structure from the second side of the structure. The fastener is attached to the cover unit relative to the second side without accessing the first side of the structure. Additionally, an aircraft includes the structure and the seal-cover assembly as discussed above. Furthermore, a method of assembling the seal-cover assembly to the structure includes the cover unit secured to the first side of the structure such that an interior of the cover unit is inaccessible from the first side.

  • Patent number: 11818631
Abstract: A communication device and method may include at least one tuner circuit that monitors at least a first frequency channel and a second frequency channel. A controller of the radio receiver may measure a first received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value over time for the first frequency channel and a second RSSI value over time for the second frequency channel. The first and second RSSI values are based on a signal strength of radio frequency (RF) energy received on the first and second frequency channels, respectively. The controller may detect a leader portion of a message on the first frequency channel responsive to a change in the first RSSI value exceeding a step change threshold. The controller may extract, via a detector circuit, message data from a carrier wave of the RF message.

  • Patent number: 9370557
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of bacterial cytolysin proteins, such as pneumolysin, as adjuvants for stimulating or enhancing immune responses against co-administered target antigens. Desirably, the target antigen is provided as a fusion protein with the cytolysin. The inventors have found that cytolysins may be particularly effective for stimulation of mucosal immune responses against the target antigen.

  • Patent number: 9247440
Abstract: A hybrid device can implement functionality to automatically configure itself to form a home network with other network devices. If it is determined that the hybrid device is the central access point of a hybrid network, operating parameters are determined for the central access point. The central access point can then operate in conjunction with other non-CAP hybrid devices of the hybrid device to determine how to configure the non-CAP hybrid device. The configuration of the non-CAP hybrid device can be determined based, at least in part, on a communication link performance measurement between the CAP and the non-CAP hybrid device. Furthermore, the hybrid network can also be monitored to ensure that the hybrid devices do not repeatedly or randomly switch between different configurations.

  • Patent number: 8964819
Abstract: An asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may determine to communicate with a destination powerline communication device. The asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may determine whether an operational mode associated with the destination powerline communication device is a multiple-output multiple-input (MIMO) mode or a single-output single-input (SISO) mode. The asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may dynamically change its operational mode to either the MIMO mode or the SISO mode to match the operational mode of the destination powerline communication device. The asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may receive a communication from a source powerline communication device. The asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may determine whether an operational mode associated with the source powerline communication device is the MIMO mode or the SISO mode. The asymmetric mixed-mode transceiver may dynamically change its operational mode to match the operational mode of the source powerline communication device.
