    Abstract: An optical element is disclosed that includes a non-planar lens having a lens perimeter with an integral flange surrounding the lens perimeter. The flange has a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. An annular plastic opaque mask layer is fused to the flange first surface or the flange second surface and extending onto the non-planar lens.
