    Abstract: An arrangement in a testhead of an hydrostatic pipe testing apparatus for tripping a limit switch, which is connected to a control for a main hydraulic piston cylinder assembly for the testhead, upon the pipe's contact with the arrangement thereby interrupting the travel of the testhead. This tripping action is indicative that an end of the pipe is in proper engagement with a seal in the testhead prior to the introduction of the pressurized testing fluid into the interior of the pipe.
