  • Patent number: 11945291
Abstract: A truck cap having a cap body with an opening, and a cap door that is movable between open and closed positions with respect to the opening. At least one hinge that attaches to the cap body and the cap door of the truck cap. The hinge includes a first hinge bracket member and a second hinge bracket member. The first hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket to receive a pivot pin. The second hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket with an opening sized to receive at least a portion of the pivot pin. The first hinge bracket member and the second hinge bracket member are pivotable with respect to each other about the pivot pin. A longitudinally extending gas prop pivotably attached to the pin extending from the second angled portion of the first hinge bracket member and to the pin of the second hinge bracket member.

  • Patent number: 8662044
Abstract: An electric fuel system primer is provided that is capable of generating enough pressure to open a valve in an engine's fuel system in order for the primer to prime the engine. The primer can include an electric fuel pump that is capable of generating at least 70 p.s.i. or more in order to open the valve. The primer may be powered by the vehicle's battery, by an internal battery or by converting AC to DC or vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20090304488
Abstract: A lifting device for raising and lowering a component of a vehicle for maintenance is provided. The lifting device includes a base with a plurality of legs, a fixed support arm attached to the base, a movable support arm rotatably attached to the fixed support arm, a device attached to the fixed and movable support arms, such as a long arm jack, to raise and lower the movable support arm, and an articulated gripper attached to an end of the movable support arm.

  • Patent number: 6470729
Abstract: An opening tool is provided for separating an outer panel of a tailgate, decklid, door or the like from an interior panel in a repair process. The opening tool may work in conjunction with a closing tool which operates to re-secure the outer panel to the interior panel once the necessary repairs have been completed. The removal tool includes a mounting arm, a blade, a shoulder and optionally, a scratch resistor. The mounting arm may be adaptable to be mounted upon an air hammer. Upon removal of the outer door panel, the blade is wedged between the outer door panel and the interior door panel. The blade is integral to the mounting arm and the shoulder. As the blade travels along the hem flange in the removal process, the shoulder maintains the position of the blade as it separates the outer door panel from the interior door panel.

  • Publication number: 20020121125
Abstract: A closing tool is provided for assembling an outer panel of a tailgate, decklid, door or the like to an interior panel. The closing tool may work in conjunction with an opening tool which operates to separate the outer panel from the interior panel at the hem flange. The closing tool includes a receptacle for receiving a partially open hem flange and the interior panel and a shaft. The shaft further defines a base at its lateral end for receiving an impact from a hammer or the like. Upon impact, the receptacle surrounds the partially open hem flange and the interior door panel thereby closing the hem flange.

  • Patent number: 4933812
Abstract: A package and circuit arrangement having rotational symmetry wherein positive and negative terminals are connected on both opposite ends of the package and also connected to an electrical component within the package. The positive terminals are diagonally aligned with respect to an axis of symmetry for the package, and the negative terminals are also diagonally aligned with respect to this axis of symmetry. Thus, the component within the package is always properly biased when the package is inserted into a circuit board receptacle having positive and negative terminals which are matched in position and polarity with those of package regardless of planar orientation of the package on the receiving surface of the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4480276
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for detecting the peaks of a signal recorded on a magnetic storage medium. An absolute value circuit is used to generate an output that is approximately equivalent to the mathematical absolute value of the raw signal input from the storage medium. The absolute value signal is then coupled to both a differentiator circuit and a noise rejection comparator circuit. A second comparator which detects the zero voltage crossings of the differentiator circuit is enabled and disabled by the output from the noise rejection comparator so that transitions of opposite polarity are produced, corresponding to the peaks and positive going reference level crossings of the raw signal input, while noise on the raw signal input below a qualification level established by the noise rejection comparator circuit is rejected.
