  • Patent number: 6557742
Abstract: A wire feeding mechanism suitable for advancing ferrous and nonferrous wire along a pathway without causing damage to the wire, including a plurality of drive rollers stationed in opposing pairs along the pathway, each comprising a cylindrical hub and a flexible cover extending thereabout. The flexible covers conform to the cross-sectional contour of the wire therebetween under the compressive forces generated by the opposing drive rollers as the wire is driven along the pathway.

  • Patent number: 5692700
Abstract: A cover for a reel of welding wire comprises a sleeve having axially opposite ends extending across the outer peripheries of the flanges of the reel and having radially inwardly open circumferentially extending recesses interengaging with the flanges to releasably axially retain the sleeve on the reel and to seal the space between the flanges so as to protect welding wire wound about the hub of the reel between the flanges from exposure to air and moisture. Seals are provided between the recesses and reel flanges for the latter purpose. In accordance with another embodiment, the cover comprises two portions which snap-lock together to completely enclose the reel. The reel and cover are relatively rotatable and in accordance with another aspect of the invention the cover can remain on the reel during use and is provided with an integral or detachable nose which supports the wire during unwinding thereof from the reel.

  • Patent number: 4936467
Abstract: A sports equipment rack includes a pair of spaced frame members connected to, and projecting from, a vertically extending wall. The frame members are connected by a plurality of laterally extending, tubular members. The tubular members are arranged relative to each other and to the wall so that items of sports equipment of different sizes can be held in place against the wall. The frame members preferably are formed in a molding operation from a plastics material. The tubular members preferably are formed in telescopically connected sections that can laterally space the frame members a desired distance from each other. The rack also includes baseball bat holders that are secured to the frame members, and hooks that project from the frame members.

  • Patent number: 4473031
Abstract: An automatic feeding device for animals includes a housing having multiple receptacles. Each receptacle is provided with a cover movable from a closed position to an open position. Each cover includes a latch for securing the cover in the closed position. The device includes an actuating mechanism for selectively releasing the covers. The actuating mechanism is in the form of a solenoid and a plurality of fingers connected to the solenoid. The fingers are arranged relative to each other such that, upon sequential actuation of the solenoid, the fingers sequentially engage and release the latches of the covers.
