  • Publication number: 20250089941
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooking system utilizing a single-zone or multi-zone induction-based griddle that provides uniform heat across a cooking surface. The system provides a larger cooking surface, a shorter warmup time, and a more targeted heating with a more uniform temperature distribution. A multi-layer cooking surface may converting a magnetic field into a thermal field by employing ferritic stainless steels, e.g., in an upper and lower layer. A middle layer(s) enhances heat transfer towards the entire cooking surface and stores a proper amount of heat inertia in the system. The middle layer, e.g., of aluminum, copper, or carbon-based materials may be separated into zones separated by cavities filled with insulation materials. The system may be utilized for indoor or outdoor grills.

  • Publication number: 20240247809
Abstract: An electric grill includes a firebox divided into a plurality of zones. Each zones has an electric heating element, and a temperature probe. A controller having operative control to detect temperatures using the temperature probes adjusts power to the electric heating element for each of the plurality of zones.

  • Publication number: 20240196914
Abstract: A cold smoke system having a smoke chamber member mounted to a frame. The chamber member defines a receptacle for receiving a combustible fuel source for producing smoke. An ignitor ignites the fuel source. A fan moves air and smoke through the receptacle and into, e.g., a grill cooking chamber. A floor of the chamber member defines an ignitor slot for receiving the ignitor and defines ash openings for allowing to fall out of the receptacle into a tray. The smoke chamber member may be rotationally mounted to the frame. The receptacle has an increasing cross-sectional area in a direction of air flow through the receptacle. A fuel container containing the fuel source is received in the receptacle of the chamber member. The fuel container may have a shape that corresponds to the shape of the receptacle and may be constructed of the same material as the fuel source.

  • Publication number: 20240179809
Abstract: A coil system for inductive heating of a cooking surface including at least one coil having a continuous winding from a center region to an outer region. A spacing within adjacent wires in the winding varies between a center of the winding and an outer portion of the winding.
