  • Publication number: 20240418003
Abstract: A lockset including a chassis having a locked state and an unlocked state, a latchbolt connected with the chassis, a handle mounted to the chassis, and a lock cylinder connected with the chassis. The handle is operable to retract the latchbolt when the chassis is unlocked, and is inoperable to retract the latchbolt when the chassis is locked. The lock cylinder includes a shell and a plug selectively rotatable relative to the shell. The chassis is configured to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state in response to rotation of the plug in a first rotational direction from a home position to a first rotated position. The chassis is configured to return from the unlocked state to the locked state in response to rotation of the plug in a second rotational direction from the first rotated position to the home position.

  • Patent number: 11408206
Abstract: A status indicating handle assembly generally includes a handle, an activation carrier mounted in the handle, and a status indicator mounted in the handle and engaged with the activation carrier. The handle includes a shank extending along a longitudinal axis and a grip portion extending laterally from the shank. The activation carrier is mounted in the shank, and has an unlocking position and a locking position. The status indicator has a first state in which a first indicium is displayed and a second state in which the first indicium is not displayed. The activation carrier transitions the status indicator between the first state and the second state as the activation carrier moves between the locking position and the unlocking position.

  • Publication number: 20220042350
Abstract: The present disclosure defines a lever handing apparatus that permits simplified changing of the handing of a lever handle between a left hand and a right hand orientation. The lever handing apparatus includes an assembly with a rotatable spring cage housing and lever spindle that can be selectively rotated within an escutcheon housing to change the handing position of a lever arm. The handing orientation of the lever can be repositioned without removing a back plate or accessing internal components positioned within the escutcheon housing assembly.

  • Patent number: 10550601
Abstract: A lock assembly for a door, the lock assembly including a first magnetic field sensor and a second magnetic field sensor. The first magnetic field sensor and the second magnetic field sensor are moveable with respect to the door to determine an open position of the door, a close position of the door, and a fault condition. In one embodiment, the first magnetic field sensor and the second magnetic field sensor move with respect to the door as the door moves from the open position and the close position. The first magnetic field sensor is spaced from the second magnetic field sensor such that each of the first and second magnetic field sensors detects a different value of magnetic field intensity. A controller determines a position of the door with respect to a door frame using signals provided by the first and second magnetic field sensors.
