Abstract: A fishing lure that includes a bait head, bait body and an attachable action lip, where the lure can provide a realistic swimming action or a twitching or jerking motion when used for jigging. The action lip is mounted in a bowed attitude between a bait head rearwardly pointing lip stop wire and at a lip center keyhole opening that is fitted onto an eyelet that extends from the bait head nose, where the lip stop wire is mounted to extend rearwardly from a bait head rear lower edge, with the bait head nose eyelet to receive a fishing line attached thereto.

Abstract: A live action fishing lure for attachment onto the end of a fishing line to be trolled or cast that provides a fishing lure with a vigorous swimming action for attracting fish. The lure includes a flat blade with a curved stern end and pointed bow, has straight sides, and which blade stern end bent thereacross is tapered from a blade mid-section to the pointed bow end. The blade is connected along its longitudinal axis to a rigging snap for connection to a fishing line that functions also as a pivot coupling allowing the blade to wobble vigorously around its longitudinal axis as it is pulled through water. A snap ring or half ring is fitted through a hole or holes formed in or adjacent to the blade stern end that connects also to a bait device eyelet end that can be a hook eyelet end which snap or half ring functions also as a pivot coupling. The hook includes a forward portion that extends to a right angle bend to a straight center section and is then curved into a barb end.

Abstract: A bait holder comprising a spring frame including a main support wire and a spring wire. The spring wire is integral with the main support wire and locks to the main support wire during threading of a minnow, small fish, or other artificial bait thereon, and then is released from the main support wire to spring open inside the bait to securely hold the bait in place on the support frame. A control member, secured to the frame by the resiliency of the main support wire and the spring wire serves to additionally hold the bait on the frame and also serves as a control rudder to provide a desired movement to the frame during use of the frame.
