  • Patent number: 7713033
Abstract: The present invention provides a fluid control system and associated methods. The fluid control system includes a source of a pressurized fluid and a first spool valve having at least two positions, wherein the first spool valve is connected in fluid communication with the source of the pressurized fluid. The fluid control system further includes a second spool valve having at least two positions, wherein the second spool valve is connected in fluid communication with the first spool valve and the source of the pressurized fluid. When the first spool valve is in a first position and the second spool valve is in a second position, a first portion of the pressurized fluid is directed from the source of the pressurized fluid to the second spool valve via the first spool valve.

  • Publication number: 20090252616
Abstract: A pumping system comprising a motor, wherein the motor has an operating speed, a pump coupled to the motor, wherein the pump has a volumetric displacement, a fluid end coupled to the pump, wherein the fluid end is operable to draw fluid from an input and provide fluid to an output, and a control system operable to regulate the motor and the pump in order to provide fluid to the output at a selected pressure and flow rate within a continuous range of pressures and flow rates between the peak horsepower output and peak torque output of the motor.

  • Patent number: 4440404
Abstract: A packing assembly provides a seal for an annular space between a pump plunger and a pump body of a reciprocating plunger pump. The pumping assembly includes an elastomeric header ring disposed in a high pressure end of the annular space for preventing migration of fluid through the annular space due to radial compression of the header ring. At least one V-shaped packing ring is disposed in the annular space behind the header ring and has a concave side thereof facing the header ring. A female adapter ring is disposed in the annular space behind a last V-shaped packer ring. A V-shaped anti-extrusion ring is disposed in the annular space between the last V-shaped packing ring and the female adapter for preventing extrusion of the last V-shaped packing ring between the female adapter and each of the pump plunger and the pump body.
