    Abstract: A process for producing stable copper phthalocyanine blue pigment in the alpha form. Copper phthalocyanine blue crystals are ground to produce a powder. The powder is contacted with chlorine and mixed with sulfuric acid. The pigment-sulfuric acid mixture is then mixed with water.
