  • Patent number: 11013627
Abstract: Stent delivery systems as well as methods for making and using stent delivery systems are disclosed. An example stent delivery system may include an elongate shaft including an inner member having a stent receiving region and a deployment sheath slidably disposed along the inner member. A handle may be coupled to the elongate shaft. A rack member may be coupled to the deployment sheath. At least a portion of the rack member may be designed to extend within the handle. The rack member may include a base portion and a displaceable portion that is displaceable relative to the base portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 9, 2019
Date of Patent: May 25, 2021
    Assignee: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED, INC.
Inventors: Derek Kenneth Larson, James D. Vetsch
  • Patent number: 11000679
Abstract: A movable protection and/or rewrapping device for a balloon catheter may include a tubular member with a bore extending along a length thereof. The tubular member may have at least one rib disposed on an inner surface of the bore. The tubular member may be flared away from the bore at one end and inwardly tapered at the other end. The rewrapping device may include an actuator configured to open a longitudinal slit in the tubular member.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9808311
Abstract: A deflective medical device including a catheter shaft having a distal end, and an ablation electrode disposed at the distal end of the catheter shaft. A deflection body is provided within the catheter shaft, and the deflection body includes a longitudinally extending spine. Multiple slots are formed in the deflection body, and the slots define a group of ribs. A flex member is disposed distal to the deflection body, and an intermediate region is defined between the deflection body and the flex member. A deflection mechanism is coupled to the intermediate region, which includes a retaining member, a collar, and a pull wire coupled to the collar.
