  • Publication number: 20230277076
Abstract: A system includes an endovascular catheter or guidewire that is positioned within a blood vessel. The catheter or guidewire includes two pairs of electrodes. One pair of electrodes is in communication with a power source. The other pair of electrodes is in communication with an amplifier and/or rectifier. The system also includes a processor circuit configured for communication with the endovascular catheter or guidewire. The processor circuit controls one pair of electrodes to provide a constant electrical current from one electrode to another. The processor circuit controls the other pair of electrodes to measure a voltage difference. The processor circuit then determines, based on the voltage difference, a blood flow metric of the blood within the blood vessel and outputs the blood flow metric to a display.

  • Publication number: 20230233095
Abstract: A system includes a processor circuit configured to receive a first set of data. The first set of data includes two pressure measurements and a flow measurement from the vasculature of a patient obtained while the sympathetic nervous system of the patient is not under stimulation. The processor circuit calculates a blood flow resistance value based on the first set of data. The processor circuit then receives a second set of data. The second set of data also includes two pressure measurements and a flow measurement from the vasculature of the patient obtained while the sympathetic nervous system of the patient is stimulated. The processor circuit calculates another blood resistance value based on the second set of data. The processor circuit then compares the two blood flow resistance values to determine whether a denervation procedure would be effective to mitigate the nerve system's response to stimulation. The processor circuit outputs to a screen display metrics obtained from the measurement procedure.

  • Publication number: 20230233251
Abstract: A system is provided including an intravascular catheter or guidewire and a processor circuit. The processor circuit determines a metric corresponding to the state of the sympathetic nervous system. The processor circuit then controls the intravascular catheter to alter the blood flow within the vessel. The processor circuit then determines another metric corresponding to the state of the sympathetic nervous system while the blood flow is altered. The processor circuit then provides an output based on the metrics obtained while the blood flow was not altered and while the blood flow was altered.

  • Publication number: 20230233135
Abstract: A system includes a processor circuit in communication with an anatomical measurement device. The anatomical measurement device receives a metric associated with a sympathetic response of a patient. The sympathetic nervous system of the patient is then stimulated. The anatomical measurement device then receives another metric associated with a sympathetic response of the patient while the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated. The processor circuit then provides an output based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20230225793
Abstract: Methods, Apparatuses, and Systems of operating a laser atherectomy system to perform an endoscopic atherectomy procedure within a vessel at a therapeutic region of an anatomical condition by use of an atherectomy laser device coupled to an ultrasound imaging probe. The atherectomy laser device operates to generate photoacoustic signals from a light source of the atherectomy laser device to for guidance within the vessel and to characterize tissue about the therapeutic region by delivery of pulsed wavelengths within the vessel, and to perform operations of tissue ablation directed to the anatomical condition. This enables guidance of the atherectomy laser device by feedback from the viewing of photoacoustic images based on photoacoustic signals generated the atherectomy laser device and created in response to changes in acoustic intensity due to changes of optical wavelength monitored by the ultrasound imaging probe.

  • Publication number: 20230114323
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure encompass an endoluminal therapy system employing an endoluminal therapy device (21) and an endoluminal therapy monitoring controller (10). In support an endoluminal procedure, the endoluminal therapy device (21) is controlled to treat a site to be treated within a lumen. The controller (10) is operated to synchronize an activated dwell timing of the endoluminal therapy device (21) within the lumen to a tracked positioning of the endoluminal therapy device (21) contiguous with the site to be treated within the lumen. The controller (10) is further operated to monitor the site to be treated within the lumen induced by the endoluminal therapy device (21) during the synchronization by the controller (10) of the activated dwell timing of the endoluminal therapy device (21) within the lumen to the tracked positioning of the endoluminal therapy device (21) contiguous with the site to be treated within the lumen.

  • Publication number: 20220031393
Abstract: A vascular treatment system includes a vascular treatment device configured to be disposed within a treatment space of a subject. The system further includes an actuation device operatively coupled to the vascular treatment device. The actuation device includes a movement actuator operatively coupled to the vascular treatment system. The movement actuator is actuatable to move the vascular treatment device within the treatment space. The actuation device further includes a liquid reservoir carrying a liquid, and a liquid infusion actuator operatively coupled to the liquid reservoir. The liquid infusion actuator is actuatable to deliver the liquid from the liquid reservoir to the treatment space via the vascular treatment device. The device further includes a user input actuatable to simultaneously actuate the movement actuator and the liquid infusion actuator.

  • Publication number: 20210244930
Abstract: The present disclosure discussed a device, method and/or system for performing a sealing control for a vascular treatment system having a handle assembly. To perform the sealing control, a movable ring associated with the handle assembly is adjusted to at least one of: a first position to provide a minimum pressure seal between the catheter and the handle assembly such that the catheter is freely movable within the handle assembly, a second position to provide a predetermined amount of pressure seal between the catheter and the handle assembly such that the catheter is movable in frictional contact with the handle assembly, and a third position to provide a maximum pressure seal between the catheter and the handle assembly such that the catheter is unmovable within the handle assembly.
