  • Patent number: 11939209
Abstract: A metering pump for dispensing a fuel additive includes a pump body, an inlet and an outlet at which fuel additive respectively enters and exits the metering pump, a piston contained within a piston bore and being configured to draw fuel additive into the metering pump through the inlet and to dispense fuel additive from the metering pump through the outlet, an inflow valve configured to permit fuel additive to flow in a single direction away from the inlet and to prevent fuel additive from flowing in an opposite direction back into the inlet, and an outflow valve configured to permit fuel additive to flow in the single direction towards the outlet, wherein the metering pump has a configuration in which the inlet, the outlet, the piston, the piston bore, the inflow valve, and the outflow valve are centrally positioned along a central plane of the pump body.

  • Patent number: 9427683
Abstract: Embodiments of a filter device for use in fuel dispensing systems can comprise an inspection element that permits visual observation of fuel that flows inside of the system. The filter device can include a body with a wall that forms a filter chamber. The wall can have one or more apertures that couple with a fuel inlet and a fuel outlet to allow fuel to flow into and about the filter chamber. In one embodiment, the body includes a boss member with a bore that penetrates the wall to expose the filter chamber. The inspection element includes an optical element that fits within the bore and a retaining element that secures to the boss member to retain the optical element therein.

  • Publication number: 20010030199
Abstract: A housing in which a first hinge member is disposed on an enclosure and has a curved surface. A second hinge member is disposed on a door for the housing and also has a curved surface. The respective curved surfaces of the hinge members interlock to connect the door to the enclosure while permitting relatively pivotal movement therebetween and quick and easy removal of the door from the housing.

  • Patent number: 6050297
Abstract: A breakaway hose coupling according to which a removable housing is detachably connected to a fixed housing. A sealing member in the fixed housing is urged towards a seat in the fixed housing to prevent fluid flow through the fixed housing, and a member in the second housing is urged into engagement with the sealing member in the first housing to urge the latter sealing member away from the seat. The connection between the housings is released in response to a predetermined force acting on the second housing and the member in the second housing disengages from the sealing member in the first housing. As a result, the sealing member in the first housing is urged against the seat to prevent fluid flow through the fixed housing.
