    Abstract: In an embodiment, a fluid collection device includes a fluid impermeable barrier that at least partially defines a chamber. The fluid impermeable barrier also defines an opening extending therethrough that is configured to be positioned adjacent to a female urethra or have a male urethra positioned therethrough. The fluid collection device also includes a channel extending between an inlet and outlet thereof. The inlet is configured to be in fluid communication with a gas source and the outlet is configured to be in fluid communication with a fluid storage container. The outlet is positioned downstream from the inlet. The channel also defines at least one aperture or passageway therein that allows an interior of the channel to be in fluid communication with the rest of the chamber.

A system for occluding an anatomical structure is also disclosed that includes an occlusion apparatus and a deployment device for holding the occlusion apparatus in an open position for locating the occlusion device adjacent the anatomical structure to be occluded and then moving the occlusion apparatus to a closed position and locking the occlusion apparatus in the closed position.

The catheter housing (102) is configured to expose the intermittent catheter for removal from the catheter housing (102) when the outer sleeve (106) is grasped and slid toward an exposed end of the inner sleeve (104) in opposition to a force applied to the exposed end of the inner sleeve (104).

An intermittent-catheter assembly includes, in some embodiments, a collapsible catheter housing and an intermittent catheter. The catheter housing can include an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve slidably mounted over the inner sleeve. Alternatively, the catheter housing can include an outer sleeve and a collapsible outer cover coupled to the outer sleeve. The intermittent catheter includes a funnel and a catheter tube coupled to the funnel. The intermittent-catheter assembly has a storage state and an opened state. In the storage state, the intermittent catheter is sealed within the catheter housing. In the opened state, the catheter housing is collapsed exposing the funnel of the intermittent catheter for removal of the intermittent catheter from the catheter housing. Methods of the intermittent-catheter assemblies include a method of using an intermittent-catheter assembly.
