Bottles are dispensed one at a time through the keyway by moving a bottle up or down to align it in the keyway where it can be pulled laterally through the keyway.

A plurality of brackets, each having a keyway, can be fastened to the support column with each bracket having a lower connecting flange fastened to the support column and an upper positioning flange. The brackets can be fastened to one another forming a vertical column without the vertical support member. Each bracket has a lower horizontally oriented connecting flange and an angled upper positioning to cause a bottle to tilt downward when inserted in the keyway. The keyways can be formed in the support column without brackets or the brackets can surround the support column forming platforms.

The open top and open front are designed to provide access to the articles to be accommodated in the crate structure. The base wall is arranged so that its upper surface provides a low friction, article-carrying floor inclined downwardly toward the open front. Partitions are provided to divide the floor area into two or more parallel tracks for receiving articles in rows. The tracks extend forward from the back wall so that the articles in each track are carried by the floor and are allowed to gravity feed toward the open front. A front stopper is provided at the open front for engagement with the leading article in each track to prevent the leading article from falling out of the crate structure.

The device further comprises a mask for providing the display shelf with an appearance of a unitary structure. The mask comprises an elongate mounting member extending along the front edge of the display shelf to fixedly position the mask relative to the display shelf, and a plurality of covering members arranged in a row along the mounting member. Each covering member spans the respective gap to provide a billboard surface extending between adjacent tracks.

The mounting means are received in the grooves such that the side walls are interconnected by the shelf. The mounting means include locking means received in the second sections of the grooves to lock the mounting means in the grooves. The locking means have a vertical size greater than the vertical size of each groove at the first section.
