  • Patent number: 12087899
Abstract: A winding system for coiling an electrode assembly includes a housing, a winding pin, and a feed system. The feed system is supported by the housing, and includes a guide assembly and an indexing assembly. The guide assembly guides an electrode and a separator towards the winding pin. The indexing assembly is operably attached to the guide assembly to actuate a movement of the guide assembly between a retracted and an extended position. In the retracted position, the distal end of the guide assembly is separated from the winding pin, thus facilitating the initial capture of the separator and electrode components during an initial set-up of the winding system. In the extended position, the distal end of the guide assembly is brought into close proximity with the winding pin, thus reducing the risk of separator and/or electrode misalignment during operating of the winding system in a winding mode.

  • Publication number: 20230266760
Abstract: A method of assembling a button cell battery. The method includes positioning a free end of a grommet over a free end of a top, and a free end of a can over a top panel of the grommet. The can includes a skirt having a vertical first section extending from a top panel of the can, and an outwardly tapered second section extending from the first section. • Patent number: 11693800
Abstract: Bandwidth consumption for IO paths between a storage system and host may be managed. It may be determined whether there is congestion on a front-end port (FEP) link. For example, the storage system may monitor for a notification from the switch in accordance with a Fibre Channel (FC) protocol. If a notification is received indicating congestion on an FEP link, the bandwidth thresholds (BWTs) for one or more IO paths between the storage system and one or more hosts that include the FEP link may be reduced. The host port BWTs may continue to be reduced until a congestion notification communication has not been received for a predetermined amount of time, in response to which the host port BWTs for one or more host port links on IO paths that include the FEP link may be increased. Similar techniques may be employed for an FEP link determined to be faulty.

  • Patent number: 11641044
Abstract: A housing for a button cell battery includes a top, a can and a grommet. The skirt of the can extends between a top panel and a free end, and includes a substantially vertical first section and an outwardly tapered second section. The first section extends from the top panel of the can. The second section extends from the first section. Upon assembly of the housing, a flow path is defined between an outer surface of the skirt of the grommet and the inner surface of the skirt of the can. The flow path allows air to escape during the assembly, thus minimizing the risk of gas being entrapped within the interior of the housing of the finished cell battery.

  • Patent number: 11554483
Abstract: Deep machine learning methods and apparatus, some of which are related to determining a grasp outcome prediction for a candidate grasp pose of an end effector of a robot. Some implementations are directed to training and utilization of both a geometry network and a grasp outcome prediction network. The trained geometry network can be utilized to generate, based on two-dimensional or two-and-a-half-dimensional image(s), geometry output(s) that are: geometry-aware, and that represent (e.g., high-dimensionally) three-dimensional features captured by the image(s). In some implementations, the geometry output(s) include at least an encoding that is generated based on a trained encoding neural network trained to generate encodings that represent three-dimensional features (e.g., shape). The trained grasp outcome prediction network can be utilized to generate, based on applying the geometry output(s) and additional data as input(s) to the network, a grasp outcome prediction for a candidate grasp pose.
