  • Publication number: 20130228462
Abstract: A method of forming a film of lanthanide oxide nanoparticles. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of: (a) providing a first substrate with a conducting surface and a second substrate that is positioned apart from the first substrate, (b) applying a voltage between the first substrate and the second substrate, (c) immersing the first and the second substrates in a solution that comprises a plurality of lanthanide oxide nanoparticles suspended in a non-polar solvent or apolar solvent for a first duration of time effective to form a film of lanthanide oxide nanoparticles on the conducting surface of the first substrate, and (d) after the immersing step, removing the first substrate from the solution and exposing the first substrate to air while maintaining the applied voltage for a second duration of time to dry the film of lanthanide oxide nanoparticles formed on the conducting surface of the first substrate.

  • Publication number: 20070076094
Abstract: Provided are video nodes for wireless networks and methods thereof that wirelessly extend a wired surveillance system. A wireless interface device services wireless communications between a wired video surveillance network and a wireless viewing node. According to another aspect, a wireless interface device transmits an alert over the wireless network upon a triggering event. In yet another aspect, a technique for viewing an image source from a surveillance system includes displaying available surveillance systems for a user to select according to a display criteria and responsive to selection of an available surveillance system, enabling wireless access to the surveillance system.

  • Publication number: 20070054072
Abstract: The present invention relates to packaging materials that may be used for components in an image forming apparatus. The packaging material may include polymeric fiber which may be in the form of a non-woven, woven or knit fabric. The fiber may contain less than 5.0% of compounds having molecular weights of equal to or less than about 2500. The packaging material may also absorb developing agent.

  • Publication number: 20060176834
Abstract: Provided are mesh video nodes for wireless mesh networks and methods thereof. A mesh video node includes a wireless interface unit, a multimedia processing unit, an input/output unit, and a control panel interface unit. The mesh video node is configured via a user interface with a communications channel selector and a node selector, where each channel is associated with a predetermined frequency channel, and each node is associated with an internet protocol address. A method of deployment is also provided via a user interface that visually represents link qualities between neighboring nodes.

  • Patent number: 4523774
Abstract: A collapsible tow cart for transporting a load of beach items over sandy terrain to a beach site. The cart whose structure, save for the wheels, is fabricated of light weight metal tubing, has three basic components: the first of which is a rectangular main frame having parallel sides and upturned ends to define a carrying bed for the beach items. Perpendicular to the main frame and attached to the front thereof in a T-formation are the parallel sides of a rectangular cross frame whose down-turned ends are V-shaped. The apexes of these ends lie below the main frame and are joined by a transverse axle. Mounted on this axle in the open region between the ends of the cross frame and the sides of the main frame are two identical balls which function as cart wheels.
