Abstract: A method for depositing a coating comprising a polymer and pharmaceutical agent on a substrate, comprising the following steps: discharging at least one pharmaceutical agent in a therapeutically desirable morphology in dry powder form through a first orifice; discharging at least one polymer in dry powder form through a second orifice; depositing the polymer and/or pharmaceutical particles onto said substrate, wherein an electrical potential is maintained between the substrate and the pharmaceutical and/or polymer particles, thereby forming said coating; and sintering said coating under conditions that do not substantially modify the morphology of said pharmaceutical agent.

Abstract: Flexible sturdy base containers and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. The flexible sturdy base container includes a rigid base element formed of a relatively rigid material. The rigid base element includes a bottom and a perimeter wall having an outward facing surface. The container also includes a flexible wall element formed of a relatively flexible material. The flexible wall element is affixed to the outward facing surface of the perimeter wall of the rigid base element and extends in a direction away from the bottom of the rigid base element. The flexible wall element and the bottom of the rigid base element together form an exterior of the flexible sturdy base container.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a fuel sensor for a motor vehicle includes a pressure transducer integrated into an end cap for a fuel rail of the vehicle's engine. Further, a temperature transducer can also be included. Fuel sensors according to the present invention facilitate improvements in vehicle packaging and cost.

Abstract: An integrated air/fuel induction system for a multicylinder internal combustion engine includes an intake manifold assembly having an airbox for providing a source of intake air for consumption by the engine. The intake manifold assembly also includes an air plenum communicating with the airbox. A plurality of intake runners is integrally formed, at least partially, within the airbox, for directing intake air flowing from the plenum into each cylinder of the engine. The airbox thereby encapsulates and utilizes the volume of space surrounding the intake runners. The integrated air/fuel induction system also includes a fuel rail removably latched to the manifold assembly. A biasing member is provided to compensate for any slack between the fuel rail and the manifold assembly. In addition, rotational and axial locators are provided so as to position the fuel rail relative to the engine.
