  • Patent number: 12159527
Abstract: A method includes accessing a first dataset including aerial imagery data and infrared data, accessing a second dataset including property boundary data, and identifying property boundaries associated with a geographic area. A plurality of models is applied to the datasets to identify and compute information of interest. Based on the first dataset and constrained by the property boundaries, a building detection model can be applied to identify a building, and a vegetation detection model can be applied to identify one or more areas of vegetation. An estimated distance can be determined between each of the areas of vegetation and the building as separation data, which can be compared to a defensible space guideline to determine a defensible space adherence score. A wildfire risk map can be generated, including the defensible space adherence score associated with the geographic area.

  • Publication number: 20240081285
Abstract: A water faucet detects proximity of a nearby pet and/or other tame animals via motion, heat, light, or the like, and triggers or otherwise activates a powered valve which controls the flow of water through the faucet. Water through the valve is set to low flow. A training/on/off switch is provided to facilitate training of the nearby pet and/or other tame animals. The valve can include an adjustable timer for variable, timed water flow. Also included in the valve can be a T-type union with service shut off for access to an already existing water supply line. For hydration, the faucet dispenses water to the nearby pet and/or other tame animals for a finite time.

  • Patent number: 11288953
Abstract: A method includes accessing a first dataset including aerial imagery data, accessing a second dataset including property boundary data, and identifying property boundaries associated with a geographic area. A plurality of artificial-intelligence (AI) models are applied to the datasets to identify and compute information of interest. Based on the first dataset and constrained by the property boundaries, a building detection model can be applied to identify a building footprint, and a tree detection model can be applied to identify one or more trees. An estimated distance can be determined between each of the trees and a nearest portion of the building footprint as separation data, which can be compared to a defensible space guideline to determine a defensible space adherence score. A wildfire risk map can be generated, including the defensible space adherence score associated with the geographic area.

  • Patent number: 10095771
Abstract: A multi-level approach for generating suggestions and/or recommendations associated with one or more items is provided. A group of related items may be identified, for example, by generating a collaborative filtering graph or other graph that includes items and connections between the items. Description data associated with items included in the group may be evaluated in order to determine respective keywords associated with the items and/or a list of common keywords representative of the group of items or a subset of the group of items. Based at least in part upon the list of common keywords, at least one suggestion may be generated.

  • Patent number: 10013492
Abstract: A customized questionnaire is generated for a content item, such as an eBook, audio file, video file, and so on. Upon an occurrence of predetermined event, the user is presented with the customized questionnaire soliciting responses to questions and/or rating evaluations relating to the content item. The responses may include reviews, ratings, recommendations of similar items, discussion topics, and other things. Information from the responses may be collected and associated with the content item to build a user-driven index.

  • Patent number: 9727633
Abstract: A method of categorizing data points is described which, when combined with a clustering algorithm, provides groupings of data points that have an improved confidence interval. The method can be used to find an optimal number of groupings for a dataset, which in turn allows a user to categorize a group of data points for processing. In some examples, a dataset containing a number of data points may be accessed. Additionally, in some aspects, groupings of data points within the dataset may be grouped based at least in part on similarities between the data. Further, a number of groupings of data points may be adjusted so that the distance between the data points within one or more groupings of data points may fit within a confidence level.
