  • Publication number: 20160334181
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a tuner system for use with a threaded muzzle end portion of a rifle barrel. The system has a tuning ring having a first threaded wall portion. A muzzle component is included which has a second threaded wall portion for engaging with the first threaded wall portion and enabling adjustable axial positioning of the tuning ring relative to a muzzle end of the barrel. The muzzle component also has a third threaded portion for threadably engaging the threaded muzzle end portion of the rifle. A damping component is included which is interposed between the tuning ring and the muzzle component, and at least partially circumscribes the muzzle end of the barrel.

  • Patent number: 4466294
Abstract: A transient driving cycle simulator test system for testing a prime mover in a laboratory environment is described, which includes an inertia wheel assembly operatively coupled to the prime mover for simulating vehicle acceleration and deceleration horsepower requirements, a dynamometer operatively coupled to the inertia wheel assembly for simulating vehicle road-load horsepower requirements, and a microcomputer control circuit for providing closed-loop control of the prime mover, the inertia wheel assembly and the dynamometer in response to a set of predetermined transient driving cycle specifications. The inertia wheel assembly features a pair of disc brakes for selectively retarding the rotation of an output shaft of the prime mover to provide forced deceleration of the vehicle being simulated.

  • Patent number: 4432344
Abstract: Toxic and hazardous organic materials are photochemically and thermally changed into innocuous and environmentally acceptable products through the proper application of solar energy. The present invention is especially well-suited for the destruction of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's) which are resistant to conventional incineration The method and apparatus described herein are also capable of handling liquids, solids or vapors, with only minor operating modifications.
