  • Patent number: 9404545
Abstract: A combined power take-off and hydraulic pump assembly includes a power-take off including a housing portion having an opened end, an input put mechanism that is adapted to be connected to a source of rotational energy, and an output mechanism that is rotatably driven by the input mechanism. The assembly also includes a hydraulic pump including a housing portion having an opened end, a fluid inlet port that is adapted to communicate with a reservoir containing a quantity of relatively low pressure hydraulic fluid, and a pumping mechanism that is rotatably driven by the output mechanism of the power take-off. An intermediate housing has a first opened end that cooperates with the opened end of the housing portion of the power take-off and a second opened end that cooperates with the opened end of the housing portion of the hydraulic pump. The intermediate housing also has a fluid outlet port that communicates with the pumping mechanism and that is adapted to communicate with a hydraulically driven device.

  • Patent number: 9297426
Abstract: A power take-off includes an input mechanism that is disposed within an input mechanism housing and is adapted to be connected to a source of rotational energy. A clutch assembly is disposed within a driveshaft housing and is adapted to be connected to a rotatably driven accessory. A driveshaft connects the input mechanism to the clutch assembly. The driveshaft may be disposed within the driveshaft housing, which also forms a housing for the clutch assembly.

  • Publication number: 20090126360
Abstract: A system for operating a hydraulically actuated device that is provided on a vehicle includes a pump drive unit that is adapted to operate a hydraulic pump. The vehicle includes a drive train having a portion that engages the pump drive unit for operation. The system also includes an accumulator and a hydraulically actuated device. Lastly, the system includes a controller that causes the hydraulic pump to supply pressurized fluid to the hydraulically actuated device when a demand is requested by the user. The controller causes the hydraulic system to supply pressurized fluid to the hydraulically actuated device independent of whether the vehicle is moving or stationary.
