    Abstract: A heat exchanger tube that comprises a tubular member having a longitudinal axis and having an inner surface that is divided into at least two regions along the circumferential direction. A first plurality of polyhedrons are formed on the inner surface along at least one polyhedral axis. Each of the polyhedrons have four opposite sides. The polyhedrons have first and second faces that are disposed parallel to the polyhedral axis and have third and fourth faces disposed oblique to the polyhedral axis. The polyhedral axis is disposed at a first helical angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tube. A second plurality of polyhedrons is formed on the inner surface adjacent to the first plurality of polyhedrons. The second plurality of polyhedrons is disposed along at least one polyhedral axis. Each of the polyhedrons has four opposite sides.     Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve designed to be in series with a toilet water supply line and the inlet of a toilet tank so that water which is flowing into the tank must flow through the valve. The valve includes a shutoff spool that is actuated by an intensifier piston. When the water volume exceeds the tank capacity due to a failure of the float valve in the toilet supply tank, the shutoff spool is actuated by the intensifier piston allowing flow to the toilet to be blocked.

    Abstract: An electrohydrodynamic (EHD) conduction pump is provided for pumping dielectric liquids, and a particular adaptation for mass transport of isothermal and non-isothermal single phase liquids. The EHD conduction pump does not require direct injection of electric charges into the fluid. The EHD conduction pump includes an EHD pumping section and associated connecting tubes with electrodes arranged in series in the pumping section. The electrodes are coupled to a high voltage low current dc power supply. A positive polarity dc voltage is applied to the electrodes. Various electrode configurations may be used, such as three-needle, hollow-tube, or pin-needle electrode configuration.
