  • Publication number: 20240106700
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods for sending event notifications. In some examples, a controller periodically sends messages concerning a status of an event corresponding to the controller. In some examples, at a first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has changed, the controller sends a message concerning data other than the status of the event. In some examples, at the first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has not changed, the controller continues to periodically send the messages without sending the message concerning data other than the status of the event.

  • Patent number: 10471323
Abstract: A replaceable wear insert assembly for playing surfaces in pitching areas and other high-wear areas of baseball and softball fields and other playing fields. A recess member is permanently or semi-permanently installable in a selected area of the field, such as a pitching lane. The recess member accommodates a replaceable insert member having an upper surface with a layer of synthetic turf or track material, mounted to rigid panel. The insert member is removable from the recess member so as to replaceable when worn.

  • Patent number: 9586121
Abstract: A golf driving practice assembly having a base with a recess and an insert that is received within the recess. In a first position a driving surface for the insert extends flush with a surrounding surface of the base, and in a second position a driving surface extends at a sloped angle above the surface of the base. The insert may be invertible within the base and have the flat, flush surface on one side and the sloped, angled surface on the other. In another aspect, an adjustable support may engage an edge of the insert to raise the driving surface of the insert from the flush position to the sloped position. The adjustable support may be provided by one or more flip-up bars set within the recess.

  • Patent number: 8944941
Abstract: An invertible mound assembly for a game field, to convert the game field between activities such as baseball that require a raised mound and other activities such as soccer or football that require a continuous flat field surface. An invertible mound body having a raised surface on one side and a flat surface on the other is supported on a base structure in a recess in the game field. When disposed downwardly the raised surface is received in the recess while the base structure supports the flat surface of the mound body level and flush with the surface of the game field. When inverted and placed back on the base structure, the flat surface of the mound body is disposed downwardly and the raised surface of the mound body is disposed upwardly to form a mound that projects above the level of the game field.

  • Patent number: 4018218
Abstract: An apparatus and method to induce sleep in a patient that utilizes an oscillator to control the frequency of electric impulses received by the patient. First and second multivibrators generate the signals necessary to stimulate the central nervous system by conduction through the optic nerve tract, and also to generate a visual aura caused by stimulation of the retina of the eye. An amplifier amplifies the signals generated by the multivibrators and electrodes transmit the amplified signal to the patient. The various components of the apparatus may be stored in an eye frame structure wherein eye lid electrode pads are held in place contiguous the eyes of the patient, and wherein mastoid electrode pads are held in place by means of the frame ear hooks.

  • Patent number: 3965298
Abstract: A device having an analog storage for storing in real time an electric analogue signal proportional to vocal tract resonance periods within speech pitch periods of speech in gas in deep sea diving. A clock is used for providing clock pulses proportional to the depth at which the speech is being made for clocking the analog signal into the analog storage device. A second clock is used for clocking the speech out of the analog storage device at that frequency corresponding to normal voice.
