  • Patent number: 8218295
Abstract: A watt-hour revenue socket block comprises at least three rising legs to allow the meter socket to step up or recess down depending on the orientation of the meter socket block. A cooperating meter socket enclosure has raised and lowered sections on the back wall to receive the rising legs to allow stepping up or recessing down of the meter socket. The meter socket has integral cap tracks to allow the cap to be moved to a position over the center of the meter socket block and be retained in that position by a tab while inserting the conductor in the lay in channel.

  • Patent number: 7931508
Abstract: An electrical connector is provided with a stud connector hole disposed into one end thereof which has a shallow V-groove therein, the flanks of the V-groove provided with threads for both sizes of studs commonly disposed therein wherein the threads of the smaller diameter stud are disposed into the flanks of the V-groove spaced from the threads of the larger diameter stud. The shallow V-groove provides at least two areas of contact on either size stud inserted therein, the areas of contact maintained along the length of the stud.

  • Patent number: 7404837
Abstract: A method and apparatus for completing a natural solar distillation cycle (comprised of maritime trade winds being elevated over mountain formations to form orographic clouds) includes enabling the low cost harvesting of freshwater during time periods when weather conditions permit, despite the absence of rain. The cloud-catching wind management structures preferably incorporate minimal pressure drop gas cyclones to centrifuge condensate particles out of the air stream, and jet pump-like flow guide structures to help overcome pressure drop, for efficient, energy-passive production of freshwater utilizing only the stagnation pressure of natural wind velocity. The permanence (design and anchoring against natural disasters) of the structures provides for incorporation of water treatment means, and connection with permanent collection reservoirs and distribution systems, for large volume supply of potable freshwater for public and industrial use.

  • Patent number: 5588338
Abstract: A mounting for a control pedal in a motor vehicle includes a mounting bracket fixed relative to the vehicle having apertures defining an axis of rotation. The pedal has a hub defining a pivot axis. Spring loaded bearings in the hub are adapted to automatically snap axially outward from a first position to a second position, thereby rotatably connecting the pedal with the bracket, when the pivot axis is aligned with the axis of rotation. The axes are aligned by manipulating the pedal. Pedal end caps are snapped onto the hub and interposed between the hub and the bracket.
