  • Publication number: 20020184106
Abstract: A system and method for handling the return of items supplied by a store. The method entails building a list of items to be returned on a local computing device. The list is sent to a remote server that handles returns for the store. The remote server returns a confirmation of the items that are returnable and/or of items that are not returnable. As the list is built, each item is compared to a return policy of the store and added to the list only if the item qualifies as returnable. The method also allows for requesting the store to honor the return of items that do not qualify for return. Provision is also made for scheduling pickup of items to be returned.

  • Patent number: 5333304
Abstract: A method and apparatus for evaluating software application performance utilizing a compiler application. An evaluation function is created which may be utilized to track and store software application execution information at each invocation thereof. A software application to be evaluated is compiled utilizing a compiler application which inserts at least one prelude routine command during compiling which is utilized to invoke the prelude routine upon each entry to a procedure within the software application. A command invoking the evaluation function is inserted into the prelude routine such that each entry to a procedure within the, software application under evaluation will result in the storage of execution information at that point. In the depicted embodiment of the present invention execution information at each exit from a procedure within the software application is also tracked and stored by invoking the evaluation function automatically prior to returning from a current procedure.

  • Patent number: 4070356
Abstract: A method is disclosed for overcoming production problems associated with the commercial manufacture of sodium sulfathiazole in soluble form involving the formation of hydrates under controlled conditions wherein the water content is maintained in the range of about 4.5 to 6 mols of water to each mol of sodium sulfathiazole, equivalent to a water content of from about 23 to 28% by weight of the resulting hydrate and said hydrate is kept in a molten state at an optimum temperature of from about 53 to 59.degree.
