Abstract: A stolen computer detection and protection method and system. The method and system detect a communication to at least a first data processing system from at least a second data processing system. In response to detection of the communication from the at least a second data processing system, determination is made as to whether the at least a second data processing system is stolen. If it is determined that the at least a second data processing system is stolen, the at least a second data processing system is disabled.

Abstract: A method to distribute periodic task workload in an information handling system includes distributing processing tasks using a tick interval. A first execution trigger in a service variable may be set at a first multiple of a predetermined tick interval. A second execution trigger may be set at a second multiple of the predetermined tick interval. The second multiple may be greater than and staggered from the first multiple, such that the first and second execution triggers may not both be set during the same tick interval. The service variable may be interrogated at the predetermined tick interval. A first processing task associated with the first execution trigger may be executed in response to detecting that the first execution trigger has been set. A second processing task associated with the second execution trigger may be executed in response to detecting that the second execution trigger has been set.

Abstract: A computer system includes circuitry for detecting whether it becomes disconnected from an object, which may include an AC power source. In response to the computer system becoming disconnected from the object, it determines whether the disconnection is authorized, which may include determining whether a valid password has been output to the computer system. In response to the disconnection being unauthorized, an alarm action is initiated.

Abstract: A rocket assembly apparatus is disclosed in which a vertical assembly building houses a multi-stage rocket and provides a clear work area around the entire circumference of the rocket. A mobile rocket service tower is moveable on the floor of the vertical assembly building to any desired circumferential location with respect to the rocket and has a plurality of cantilevered access platforms with curved outer edges for conforming to the shape of the rocket at various vertical and circumferential positions.

The marine structure further has a mooring system which employs pairs of transversely, closely spaced guy lines connected to clump weights and further pairs of transversely, closely spaced guy lines connected from the clump weights to an anchor system. The marine structure mooring system can further provide a vessel mooring system in order to provide adequate control of the vessels during on and off loading of the marine structure and further to prevent fouling of the marine structure mooring system.
