  • Publication number: 20080177171
Abstract: A through-hole panel is mounted on a barrier between a hot zone maintained at a selected isolation level and a cold zone not maintained at the selected isolation level. Hermetically sealed electrical feedthroughs each include a housing and cold- and hot-side electrical receptacles, and are hermetically sealed into through-holes of the through-hole panel with the cold- and hot-side electrical receptacles extending into the respective cold and hot zones. A surface of the through-hole panel and a portion of the feedthroughs exposed to the hot zone are substantially resistant to corrosive decontamination agents used in the hot zone. A medical imaging instrument in the cold zone images an interior volume of a generally tubular imaging window that is in communication with the hot zone and is isolated from the cold zone. An auxiliary instrument in the hot zone operatively electrically communicates with the medical imaging instrument via the feedthroughs.

  • Patent number: 6412880
Abstract: A combined power supply and electronic control circuit uses existing power supply wires to communicate ABS control signals between individual electronic control units, mounted at each wheel of a tractor and a trailer, and a central electronic control module. The central electronic control module communicates with the wheel mounted electronic control modules using low voltage hi-frequency AC carrier signals. Each wheel mounted electronic control unit is assigned a signature voltage and frequency, permitting simultaneous communications by all of the wheel mounted electronic control units with the central electronic control module.

  • Patent number: 6114952
Abstract: A remote fault indicating unit (12) for an electronic system, such as a vehicle adaptive braking system, includes a series of visual indicators, such as light emitting diodes (50-59), on one surface of the housing and a computer serial port connector (13) for use when troubleshooting is done with a PC (18) equipped with the appropriate software. Each of the indicators (50-59) is activated in response to a predetermined malfunction sensed in the system, such as a defective speed sensor, defective modulator, or a defect in the electronic circuitry. The indicators (50-59) are reset with a switch (15) when the system is repaired. When the reset switch (15) is activated, all of the indicators (50-59) flash on and are then turned off. The reset switch (15) can also be activated for a longer period of time changing the ECU (14) configuration.
