  • Publication number: 20240123132
Abstract: A drain cassette for a dialysis unit has a fluid channel between venous and arterial connection ports, and a valve may controllably open and close fluid communication between a drain outlet port and the venous connection port or the arterial connection port. A blood circuit assembly and drain cassette may be removable from the dialysis unit, e.g., by hand and without the use of tools. A blood circuit assembly may include a single, unitary member that defines portions of a pair of blood pumps, control valves, channels to accurately position flexible tubing for an occluder, an air trap support, and/or other portions of the assembly. A blood circuit assembly engagement device may assist with retaining a blood circuit assembly on the dialysis unit, and/or with removal of the assembly. An actuator may operate a retainer element and an ejector element that interact with the assembly.

  • Patent number: 9447525
Abstract: An on-line defect detection system for detecting a defect in a fibrous member and related processes are provided. The defect detection system may include first and second fiber contacting members where at least one of the contacting members is shiftable relative to the other contacting member. The defect detection system may also include a defect detection zone defined between at least a portion of the first and second fiber contacting members. The defect detection zone may be configured to receive at least a portion of the fibrous member in a manner such that the fibrous member contacts the first and second fiber contacting members in the defect detection zone. Further, the defect detection zone may also include a sensor configured to sense movement of one of the first and second fiber contacting members and generate an electronic signal based on the sensed movement of the at least one fiber contacting member.

  • Patent number: 8726351
Abstract: Systems and/or methods for controlling access to a plurality of records and/or documentary materials to be persisted in an electronic archives system are provided. The plurality of records and/or documentary material and all preserved information may be stored and accessed on the basis of user and/or object attributes. The user attributes include group affiliation, ownership, and state (e.g., workflow step and time of day). The object attributes include group affiliation, business role, clearance or access level, and network address from which access is requested. Access to the plurality of records and/or documentary material can be obtained both from within a single security domain as well as across more than one security domain.

  • Patent number: 4823227
Abstract: Solid state circuitry designed to protect three phase electrical equipment operating from two hundred forty (240) to four hundred eighty (480) volt power from loss of any phase, phase reversal, or under voltage or over voltage of the power supply. The circuitry is designed so that if phasing and voltage are correct, then the device will energize an output relay thus enabling the load to operate the protected equipment. This circuitry accomplishes all of the above with much lower power dissipation than other monitoring devices.
