  • Publication number: 20230292770
Abstract: A pizza saucer having a housing in which components may be mounted. The housing includes a base having an upwardly facing deck, a neck that extends from the base to a head, and a manifold mounted to the head facing the deck. The housing contains at least one pump to convey pizza sauce from a source to the manifold, and a computer that controls a rotary prime mover in the base with a driveshaft extending through the deck to a tray drivingly linked to the driveshaft. An input, such as a touchscreen, is mounted to the head and faces the user during operation. With the touchscreen, the user may input the crust size. The computer actuates the pumps and the rotary prime mover, simultaneously causing the crust to rotate 360-370 degrees and the manifold to dispense sauce onto the crust until the crust is coated.

  • Publication number: 20220202023
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting slices from a food product includes a vertical housing defining a barrel that receives an elongated food product. A rotatable blade apparatus is disposed beneath the lower end of the housing and has a planar guide with a slot. A first blade is mounted to the top surface of the guide with a sharp blade edge adjacent the slot and facing radially outwardly. Drive means rotates the rotatable blade apparatus into the food product to form slices. A substrate is disposed beneath the rotatable blade apparatus for receiving slices formed by the rotatable blade apparatus. The substrate may be a pizza crust and the food product may be a pepperoni stick.

  • Patent number: 4230007
Abstract: A flexible meat slicing blade and support therefor is provided for utilization in apparatus such as pizza forming machines to provide accurately and uniformly sliced meat products of specified thickness for deposit on a surface of a pizza shell. An elongated flexible meat slicing blade of this invention, which may be a continuous band, is supported for longitudinal movement in a cutting plane with the blade disposed at an angle with respect to that cutting plane. A cutting edge of the blade is beveled at an angle which is slightly less than the angle of inclination of the blade to the cutting plane. A support is provided for the portion of the blade passing through the cutting plane to maintain the flexible blade in precise position with respect to the cutting plane. This support includes a structurally rigid bar having a longitudinal groove in which the effective cutting portion of the blade is disposed for relative sliding movement.
