Abstract: A device and associated system for threading, cutting, and reaming pipe ends are described. The device and system utilizes a brushless DC electric motor. The devices also include on-board electronics and operator interface(s) to provide sophisticated control and information as to the various operations. Also described are methods of operating the devices and several different modes for performing various operations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for forming threads in workpieces such as along pipe ends using impact drivers are described. Using an impact driver during thread forming significantly reduces reaction torque which must otherwise be countered by a user or by using affixment devices such as vises.

Abstract: A pipe vise stand having increased utility and greater useable work space, particularly during use of vise provisions associated with the stand, is described. The stand features a base plate having a unique configuration in which one or more pipe benders are located within a workpiece support region defined along an upwardly directed face of the plate between vise provisions and corresponding support provisions.

Abstract: Beveling tools having a variety of features are described. The tools can utilize a combination of handles, a protective external frame, guide rollers that are positionally adjusted by swing arms with timing lobes, or by an alternative guide bar mounting system, a helical knurled drive roller, guide rollers that have a convex or crowned face, skewed guide rollers, a positive clutch assembly for governing force applied to the guide rollers, a hand crank assembly for moving the tool when mounted on a workpiece, position adjustment provisions for varying the position of a milling head, and indicators providing visual feedback to an operator.

The system includes a pipe support member which is configured to be positioned on a vise base of the stand. The system also includes a jackscrew extender that provides or relocates a jackscrew associated with the stand to a lateral position alongside the stand. Related provisions and methods are also described.

The cutting tool can be powered by an impact driver. Also described are rotary powered tools. In certain versions, the tools include torque limiting provisions to prevent transfer of excessively high levels of torque to a working end of the tool. Various methods of use are also described.
