  • Patent number: 12131819
Abstract: Approaches are provided for a prediction model determining a prediction indicative of the authorized user being associated with at least one anomaly event. In one example, a computer system may receive data from different sources. For example, the system may receive data associated with use of one or more monitored units of an automated storage and retrieval location. The system may also receive request data associated with a request for execution of the monitored controlled unit by an authorized user to a target user. The prediction model of the system may utilize the received data to determine the prediction that the authorized user is associated with at least one anomaly event associated with a diversion of a monitored unit away from the target user. The system may then provide the prediction for presentation.

  • Patent number: 12033446
Abstract: Personal safety concerns for users of vehicles can be indicated, identified, communicated, analyzed, or acted on to make the users and other participants in the technology aware of the safety concerns and to reduce the risks to the users associated with the safety concerns. Personal safety concerns can be recognized based on safety concern triggers. Once recognized, the personal safety concerns can be reported to the users and other participants in the technology by safety alerts. The safety alert can prompt one or more telematics devices at the vehicle to capture, store, or transmit telematics data, including, for example, audio, image, or video data or combinations of them. The captured telematics data can be used to verify the safety alert and the safety concern and present the captured data to a third party participant to enable the third party participant to determine an appropriate response or action.

  • Patent number: 11309069
Abstract: In some examples, there may be provided systems, devices, and methods for using data from disparate sources to determine whether diversion events have occurred. A diversion event may be when a monitored unit intended for a target user is diverted away from the target user.

  • Patent number: 8068184
Abstract: A remote control unit for an entertainment system comprising a television or other display device, and a plurality of peripheral devices connected to the televisions. The remote control unit is adapted to send and receive information signals to and from the television and to the peripheral devices to control the devices. The television and remote control unit both preferably includes a receiver and transmitter and appropriate memory and logic coupled to the transmitter and receiver. Alternatively, the remote control unit preferably includes a receiver and transmitter and a repeater coupled to the receiver and the transmitter. In operation, the remote control unit sends commands to the television, which responds by sending information or a specific command back to the remote control unit. The remote control unit then retrieves and sends a specific command or repeats and sends the command received from the television to the appropriate peripheral device.

  • Patent number: 7733429
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that facilitate automatic convergence and geometry alignment in projection systems. Preferably, an optical element such as a lens array is coupled to all areas of the projection system's screen and to a detector element such as a photocell array. In operation, each lens of the lens array is adapted to map an individual portion or region of the screen onto the photocell array. A microprocessor, controller or the like uses the data output from the photocells to instruct an alignment controller to center or steer the beams to compensate for convergence error at a particular location. In a center alignment mode, four (4) or more beacon dots located about the periphery of the screen are detected to determine screen size and position, which is used to center the video image and the centers of the mapped regions on the screen.

  • Patent number: 7427266
Abstract: A method and apparatus keeps track of ingestible objects (such as pills or food items) ingested by humans or animals. The objects are supplied with radio frequency identification (RFID) tags encoding data describing the objects. The humans or animals ingesting the objects are equipped with RFID sensors for detecting, decoding, and archiving the data encoded in the tags. A user may scan the body of the human or animal subject with a sensor to determine if a tagged object has been ingested. The tags may be covered with substances or contain elements that dissolve upon entering a digestive system. This allows detection of ingestion and also allows the RFID tag encoding to change in the course of digestion.

  • Publication number: 20080101164
Abstract: A recording status indicator that utilizes the familiar pattern of an analog clock face to convey the length and viewing location of an individual recorded program. The indicator is preferably overlaid over the program material on the television monitor or other display in a corner of the screen or some other non-obtrusive location on the screen. In a preferred embodiment, a “clock face” status indicator preferably includes a clock face, a recording starting point marker preferably represented at the top of the clock face, a thirty minute marker represented at the bottom of the clock face, fifteen and forty-five minute markers represented about the sides of the clock face, a first recording marker to show the current recording point or time of the program, and a second recording marker to show how much of the recording has been viewed (or the time location within the recording).

  • Patent number: 7315417
Abstract: An apparatus and methods that facilitate efficient and easy installation of a display screen and protective shield onto a cabinet of a display unit such as a projection TV (PTV) and the like. Preferably, a screen frame and bezel clip system includes a bezel clip having a latch arm releaseably coupleable to catch arm extending from or attached to a cabinet side wall of a display unit. The bezel clip further includes one or more receptacles sized and shaped to receive and retain a side or edge portion of one or more screens. The catch arm is preferably deformable under pressure and returns to a pre-stressed orientation when the pressure is removed. Alternatively, a screen frame and bezel mount system includes a stiffener member adapted to couple a bezel member to a cabinet side wall of a display unit. The bezel member includes one or more receptacles sized and shaped to receive and retain a side or edge portion of one or more screens.

  • Patent number: 7196741
Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate automatic convergence and geometry alignment in projection systems such as a PTV. The automatic convergence system (ACS) preferably includes a CCD camera mounted inside the PTV and focused on the entire inside of a projection screen Fresnel lens. Alternatively, the ACS may include a deployable reflective sheet, preferably in the form of a roll up screen. In operation, signals from the CCD camera corresponding to test patterns projected onto the Fresnel lens or reflective sheet are analyzed and used to align, center or steer raster patterns to compensate for convergence error at a particular location. In a convergence mode, the video is blanked and then successive monochrome video test patterns are projected on the screen.

  • Patent number: 6868133
Abstract: According to the present invention, a method and system for array processing are disclosed. Signals transmitting a symbol set are received. A dominant signal set for each signal, which includes dominant signals that interfere with the signal, is determined. A trellis, which includes paths that represent possible symbol sets, is constructed from the dominant signal sets. An optimal path from the trellis is selected, and the symbol set represented by the optimal path is determined.

  • Publication number: 20040073905
Abstract: Execution of a program's instructions in a simultaneous multithreaded processor is halted while the program is waiting for one or more events to occur by first arming an event monitor upon an arm instruction, that is, identifying to the event monitor one or more events to be monitored, such as a modification to a value or state of an identified memory location or group of locations, and setting a watch flag to indicate enable the event monitor. Upon execution of a quiesce request instruction, the program quiesces if the watch flag is set, and a timer is started. Upon observation by the event monitor of an identified event, or upon expiration of the timer, the watch flag is cleared and execution of the program resumes.
