  • Patent number: 5079967
Abstract: A motion transmitting remote control assembly (10, 10') including a conduit (12), and a motion transmitting core element (14) movably supported by the conduit (12). An adjustment device (18, 18'), comprising first (20, 20') and second (22) members, is provided for adjusting the effective length of the core element (14). The first member (20, 20') and the second member (22, 22') include coacting ratcheting teeth (36, 38) to limit relative motion between the first (20, 20') and second (22, 22') members to one direction. The first (20, 20') and second (22, 22') members have elliptical cross sections with the first member (20, 20') being molded of a rigid organic polymeric material. The second member (22, 22') is molded of a resilient organic polymeric material for deforming inwardly along its major diameter in response to a pinching force applied thereto, and outwardly along its minor diameter to disengage the ratcheting teeth (36, 38) allowing relative longitudinal movement in both directions.

  • Patent number: 5009615
Abstract: An electrical terminal assembly having fixed and flexible tab receptacle terminal retainers. Each inserted receptacle terminal is retained by means of a movable finger formed in one side wall of the receptacle connector cavity and a fixed retaining shoulder in the opposite internal side wall of the connector cavity, both shoulders engaging the inserted female receptacle terminal. The receptacle terminal is removed by resiliently deflecting the movable finger to disengage the retaining shoulder thereon from the receptacle terminal thereby allowing withdrawal of the receptacle terminal.

  • Patent number: 5001927
Abstract: A liquid sensing assembly (10) senses the level of liquid (18) in a container (12). The assembly (10) includes a reference sensing capacitor (16) for sensing the dielectric constant of the liquid and a level sensing capacitor (14) for sensing the level of the liquid with a dielectric factor. A housing (20) forms one plate of the capacitors (14, 16), and two separate coiled wires form the second plates of the capacitors (14, 16). The capacitors (14, 16) are located within the housing (20) and separated by a seal (46) to prevent liquid from passing therethrough. The reference capacitor (16) is located in the upper end (28) of the housing (20) and receives the liquid directly at an inlet (52) and fills to overflow at an outlet (56) into the container (12). The level capacitor (16) is in the lower section of the housing (20) to sense the level in the container (12).
