Abstract: An electronic payment processing system and method configured for providing straight through and/or dynamic variable processing. The payment processing system and method may be operable for determining, via a computing device having a payment portal, transaction information associated with a transaction between a buyer and a merchant. Based thereon, selecting, via the payment portal and using the transaction information, a payment algorithm to be used in determining a payment amount to be paid by the buyer for the transaction. And further, selecting, via the payment portal and using merchant identifying information and/or payment information, a value authority algorithm to identify a value authority to be used in selecting a commercial value for a variable term to be associated with and/or included as part of the payment amount.

Abstract: Embodiments presented herein address the shortcomings and problems discussed above by providing systems and methods for a central system that conducts business-to-business (B2B) payments. In embodiments, a B2B gateway receives payment instructions from one or more buyers. The payment instructions may be received over one of several different systems, for example, a credit card association system or an electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) system. The B2B gateway organizes the payment instructions according to the supplier being paid and the payment system that will be used for the payment. The payment systems may include, but are not limited to, credit card platforms, ACH payments, mailed checks, etc. The suppliers can receive two or more payments from two or more buyers through the B2B gateway.
