  • Publication number: 20210321068
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a system and method for remote image projection. The system may comprise a compact optical system to provide remote projections of images. The system may comprise an image correction subsystem, an image motion and positioning subsystem, an image relay and deflection subsystem, a source image, a warped image, a remotely projected image. The method may comprise processing the source image with a dewarping algorithm. The image correction subsystem may comprise a source image, a dewarping algorithm. When the system comprises an intermediate image plane, the warped image may be configured to project on the target projection surface upon arrival to the intermediate image plane. The image relay and deflection subsystem may comprise passive mechanical relay optics to refine the remotely projected image and direct the remotely projected image to the target projection surface.

  • Publication number: 20130258487
Abstract: An eyepiece for a night vision goggle (NVG) system includes a first lens element axially aligned with second and third lens elements. The first, second and third lens elements are sequentially positioned between a viewer and an object formed on a screen surface. The first lens element is formed as a doublet having two cemented elements. The second lens element includes a convex surface facing the doublet and a concave surface facing toward the third lens element. The third lens element includes a first convex surface facing the second lens element and a second convex surface facing the object. The second lens element is formed with two even aspheric surfaces comprised of only even coefficients and is substantially uniform in thickness.

  • Publication number: 20080297595
Abstract: A visual communication system that is suitable for use in connection with a display surface is disclosed. The system includes a camera or other data-capturing device that can be remotely positioned from the display surface. A control unit receives image data from the camera or data-capturing device and processes the image data to create an electronic image of the display surface.
